Beating 30 coaster in 24 hours

I'm formulating a plan. Off the top of my head, based on what I'm seeing tonight, I think that the logistics are simple. Getting park permission and actually accomplishing the task might be a bit more difficult, but I think I could smash 30 in 24.

Hey guys, I'm back!
I been planning one for a while and I know how to do it too(I might just end up doing it this summer). I be planning it for almost five months. Also on a side note the current record is 41 coasters in 24 hours not 30.

I'm going to map something out this evening, but off the top of my head, 40 was the round number I was shooting at.

(Hint: It ends at CP)

Hey guys, I'm back!
But you need 42 to break the record... The way I planned it is that I would ride over 48 coasters. There is a lot involved to it, you have to have media coverage, people to sign off, video tape of event, pictures, etc...

Well too bad for us CP'ers!! They had to beat it out at SFMM!:(

Crady Crady!! CRADY CRADY!!
Well, I'd think that people in Ohio could easily beat 30--Start in SFWoA at noon. Ride all the coasters, drive over to Cedar Point and hopefully get all the coasters in before the park closes, then drive down to PKI.

Ahem...Ahem...Any Magnum Freak out there and/or webmasters care to Comment on this..Heres the Spartans comment on it..

All I have to say on this Duane is a certain few people on this very forum have this in the works already my friend...:)...Problem is because of GRP its in mothballs right now..Will be revived very soon though..We've been planning this for over 9 months now..Theres MUCH more to this than people think as you can tell if you watched the show tonight...

And what really pissed me off was they counted Collosus (sp!) as 2. I really hope Magic Mountain doesn't try anything

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
GTTP could beat that record!!! what do you say?

I'm trying to relay to you GTTPointers..Theres much more than you think involved...I'm sure a couple will back me up here..Care to Comment Dan??

I'm really not trying to discourage others who want to do this so don't get me wrong, its just that from going through the "PR" standpoint myself..Its a real chore!...Other parks don't want to step on other "sister" parks toes....

Was anyone here annoyed that oh, maybe ten of these "coasters" these people counted in their forty were Kiddie coasters? This annoyed me.

Just a thought.

You HAVE to kruggie..Its still a coaster and an important part of the record..The original record holders from SUN microsystems done the same thing..You Have to utilize all out there!

I wasn't so much annoyed by the kiddie coasters, but it kind of bothers me to see them just walking up the exits and making other guests wait for them. I realize it wouldn't have been possible to break a record without doing this, but I think this kind of stuff gives enthusiasts a bad name. I wish more people could just go and enjoy riding and stop thinking that they should always get special privileges because they belong to a club. Events like Coastermania are great because they make enthusiasts happy without inconveniencing the general riding public. I just don't like to see people being made to wait longer (even if its only 2 minutes) when others are bypassing the entire line altogether.

SFKK - PKI - CP - SFWoA or
PKI - CP - SFWoA - Kennywood = 43.

A full run would be 49, with 3 coasters with two tracks (Twisted Sisters, Racer/Recar, Gemini)
Hate to say this guys but don't even think about it. The only way you can do cool stuff like that is to be the ACE PR Rep. We got 52 planned but becusae the GRP has to break their own record again in my park other groups aren't permitted to do it.

This is a really sore subject.

Bill, PKI - CP - SFWoA - Kennywood = 43 would work but the drive between parks would bring you well over 24 hours. Trust me I looked into every park in the country and I found a group of parks that would work(Cedar Point is in that group). The only problem for me is the parks. Guiness has already gave me a ok and I just need to contact the parks.

Seriously, Guinness has given you the ok? When you say that do you mean that if you do it, they will count it?

bobthetomato..Guinness giving you the OK is NOT a big deal..They would give the OK to a 9 yr old for all they care..In other words they wish you luck and send you the guidelines..No biggie really. Its the Parks that are the obstacle..They (Parks) only want to deal with "higher up in PR" like Dan eluded...

Were not giving up though...We have made progress to an extent..The parks are looking for publicity and numbers...

Dan is right... it's a very sore subject. Some parks would rather help along a bunch of SoCalACErs than help out the local guys do it in their own back yard. Shame on them.

Futuristic bow-wow... do the dog catcher!
I would have guessed that was the case but I am still sorry to hear it confirmed. Maybe someday.
