I am Processing in on April 30 and this will be my third summer. Me and my friend want to live in bayside and I was wondering if somone who is already there could reserve two beds in bayside for us. Thanks.
Sorry, as far as I know the beds are first come first served.
I'm there now - beds are first come, first served. They only allow a person to reserve one bed for a friend and even then there are alot of questions asked. I had enough trouble just trying to get into one of the 2 bedroom apartments (I'm currently in a 3 bedroom) and I processed in 2 weeks ago. Right now, the rooms on the first floor of 700 are all still open and they haven't even opened the 800 building yet, so maybe you'll still have a good chance come the end of the month! Good luck!

My friend and I are also going down there this summer on April 30 and we were wondering if there will be anymore rooms left in Bayside?
Me and My friend process in the same day and I hope there will be room left then.
The odds are against there being room then. But who knows there very well could be. Just don't count on it. Besides it's like your going to be living in paradise anyways.
LOL!!
Bayside's not exactly the "paradise" that everyone makes it out to be. The only reason I (and most others) like it there better than Commons is the fact that you still have the amenities of an apartment but less roommates than Commons (6-9 in Bayside, up to 16 in Commons). I never thought I'd enjoy living in a Commons apartment, but it turned out to be one of the best living experiences I ever had out there (plus it's the only housing with air conditioning). Those of you that are new - keep in mind that housing is cheap for a reason (I'm not saying that it's bad, just that it might not be what you're accustomed to). I know I got quite a culture shock my first season. I looked at it this way - whatever housing you're in - it's a bed, a roof over your head, and functional necessities - what else could you ask for for 16.80 - 24.00 a week! :)

Hi Carrie,
It's Jason B from Soak City East. Nice to hear that you'll be back this summer at Ripcord. As for advice on housing to everyone, I stayed in Commons for three summers and liked some of the arrangements there. Some things I felt were more convienent for me and others well...not so. I've actually stayed in all the off point housing facilities and found that the Commons dorms were suitable enough for me. Though the dorms are small w/ limited space I had cool roomates and it was usually pretty quiet.
Hey there Jason!! Yep, I'll be back, but as a Challenge Park sup (taking Kristin Hetzel's spot). Cant' wait!! Feel free to e mail me!
