Bakery is coming

Brian spends way too much time in the computing labs.

Not that I'm disagreeing with him, mind you...

Brian did forget one food group (didn't you know there were actually FIVE food groups?)

Beer.

No, I didn't. Beer (as is wine, hard cider, and distilled spirits) is fermented sugar, and so belongs in the sugar food group.

(Well, technically it's yeast excrement, but the yeast eat the sugar to get there, so it's all the same to me.)

And I'm guessing that GregLeg knows this due to our shared heritage of hanging out with people from the PDL at CMU.

Ok, now I'm going to be thinking "yeast poo" next time I'm having anything alcoholic (or eating sourdough, for that matter. Which reminds me, I need to feed my sourdough culture soon)

Yup, those wacky PDL guys. I think David is about to crash hard from lack of sleep, but hopefully our efforts will be worth something...

Hmmm, maybe they can move the skeeball and shooting range to the pirat ride.

Just a suggestion seeing that it remained empty untill halloweekends last year.

Aww, man, I'm glad I'm not going back to work at CP, I'd miss my morning semi-ritual walk through the arcade to get to my location.

I also can't imagine how early they're going to start letting people in the park now! They mentioned in the article it was going to be earlier then 9...this will probably sound stupid, but do you think they may move the gates? How else will they differentiate between Joe Cools and other people getting on the rides early? Or did I not read that article right?

My guess is let the joe cool in around 830 and let general public in around 900. That gives each group a half hour at the bakery.

So what about people staying at the resorts? How are they going to stop anyone from taking off at the time they start letting people in from going and lining up outside of Dragster or something? It'll be interesting to see how they pull this off.
My guess is also what they did in the past. Put a chain up and an employee there. People coming in the resort gate wouldn't be allowed to walk up there unless they go to the main gate. Especially since in Breakers you can get breakfast there.

One of the things that made me so mad about CP is the fact that they let Joe Cools people in so early. The park isn't supposed to officially open until 10:00. I know that yes, Joe Cools is good business for CP but why don't they let them in at 9:30 and everyone else in at 10?

They'll probably change their minds and just let people in the same times as always...I wonder if the bakery will stay open all day? And if so, will they serve sandwiches? It'd be smart...and they could charge a ton of money for fresh-made sandwiches...

I personally think ERT is a good thing - It gives people an incentive to stay in the resorts, or to pay extra for Joe Cool. I wouldn't have gotten Joe Cool if I didn't get ERT - 10% off at midway market isn't worth $15, and I didn't use it for anything else all season.
I personally think that the sports bar is a fantastic idea for a park. Remember not everyone there wants to be there or loves rides. This gives the typical dad some place to hang out while the pre-teens run around and have fun. We fought for years to put something like that in over at Geauga Lake.
For anyone who misses the taylor gallery you can always shoot it at its new location... knotts. The skeeball lanes will be making appearances as replacement parts in the main arcade and jitney. And wasn't Los Gatos formerly a Doughnut shop?

Los Gatos was a doughnut shop before becoming Mexican. They had freshly fried cake doughnuts that were great tasting. I always had some each visit.
