I don't believe it was in conjunction with any kind of Halloween event, but for a while (I'm thinking early to mid-80s?) kennywood ran the Jackrabbit backwards and billed it as the "Backrabbit".

I think I remember a "Backrabbit" commercial with Jack Lambert in it....

I remember Dave giving a great explanation here. Sorry to dig this up, but it was the best explanation I have heard.

Idora Park in Youngstown in the 70's...jackrabbit trains were turned around and they called it the backrabbit.
