Awesome 80's CP Commercial Montage on You Tube

Now was it really like that back then..like was there fog and lights when you went down the hill? or was that just edited in..

Fog machines near a lot of the rides that use the older style of sensors is a bad thing though. I've heard lots of stories about techs having to go turn fog machines off because the fog was tripping sensors and shutting rides down. But a little fog at some rides would be awesome if they can avoid the sensor problem.

Thank you Brian for that video of Magnum XL 200. I don't think I ever saw that commercial when it was being introduced but I do remember the Snake River Falls Commercial when it was debuting in 1993.

Anyone remember a commercial from the 80's where a train came back into the station and everyone's hair was standing straight up? Everyone had blank looks on their faces? I believe it was the Corkscrew but it may have even been Demon Drop. There was a similar campaign in the 90's about the family who all had similar "hair-raising" hairstyles but this one was different.

Oh my god! those were great.

Anyone remember Mean Streak's commercial? Showed some teen alone in the queue staring up at the wooden structure and "How tall can it be?" keeps running through his head. Haven't seen anyone with a clip of that.

In one of the commercials, they talk up the fact that CP is on Lake Erie and offers a great beach, boating, and a resort hotel on the beach. CP still has a great beach, a great marina, etc., but they seldom use them as a drawing card (or so it seems). CP started as a beach resort. I wonder if that aspect can still be draw?
