I'm gonna be working Shoot The Rapids
How many hours should I expect to work?
I want to work one of the *cooler* rides is there a way
I can transfer?
you will work anywhere from 40-60 hours per week
you might be able to switch rides after the summer gets going...it depends on the need for others on certain rides

If you work Shoot the Rapids, you may only work 15-20 hours a week. :-)
I'm too sexy for my harness!

Working the "cooler" rides isn't always what you expect. I know when I got assigned to gemini i was a little bummed but I had no idea how wrong I was. This is going to be my 3rd summer on gemini and I don't want to be anywhere else. Switching rides doesn't typically work like oh this ride isn't cool enough I want to switch. You need to get there and give your ride and crew a chance before you decide you won't like it. Going into this summer with a positive attitude and being excited is important. You got a good ride you could've been stuck somewhere not so great.

Find me aswell, Veronica Hoover your ATL. Just to let you know even if you cannot pick up as many hours as you want at Shoot The Rapids you can always request to pick up extra hours durring the week because our ride does not work as many hours as the rest of the park. Also, working a "cooler" ride isn't always the best thing to do. I worked Maverick last season and it's REALLY hard. Waking up at 6 am every morning to be at work at 7:20, then working between 10 to 16 hours a day makes for a looong hard summer. You have no social life and you tend to stay grumpy because of lack of sleep. If I were you I would consider yourself lucky that you got the ride that you did. The bests thing about working at CP is the crew you are working with, not the ride. Some of the best times come out of the "non-cool" rides. :-)

By *cooler* I meant more popular and potentially longer hours.. 15-20? I don't want to sound like I am complaining *I'm not complaing* but that's not a lot after taxes and housing. I'm not bummed about the ride itself, but a little bummed about the hours. But if I can pick up an extra shift that'll be perfect. I don't want you guys to think that I'm not excited I really am. I just don't need that much free time.
Can't wait to meet you as well Veronica! I process-in Monday, so you'll be meeting me real soooooon :)
15-20 hrs is a lie. don't worry you will definitely be getting more than that! 40-60 is very much the norm
