Availabilty Not Long Enough?

I sent in my application a couple weeks ago with an availability of May 28 to August 10 (I think). Anyways, I just got an email from Matt Ozoskey saying that my availability dates need to be longer in order to qualify as a Ride Host. Is it rare for first year people with this availablity to be denied as a Ride Host? What other positions should I have no trouble getting into? My next choices were Ride Photo, and merchandise shop cashier/assistant.

I wonder what they consiter to be not long enough... I know somone that is working for 3 months, but it was too short for Chris Fike. Now he's a sweep.

hmm i wonder... i worked last season from aug 18 to oct 27 maybe cus it was the end of the season.. but i wonder if its cuz the would rather leave that position open for people that would stay there all season or longer at least

Hey Astrosgp, Thats very strange! Mostly all the students leave at that time anyway, to go back to school ya know?? Thats really weird? And they are so hard up on finding staff sometimes ya know!

Matt's a nice guy, you may want to call him and talk to him if you really want rides! Or HR, but let me ask you, are you a student as well? "Could" you stay till the end?? That would get you in for sure, or at least do weekends as well?

matt is a very nice guy. but with those dates it's hard to work somebody. you could extend them and then before the say you need to change them. thats what alot of people do anyway.

Actually, I was going to call Matt yesterday and ask if it was still possible to work in Rides despite the limited availability. However, when I got home I got a call from Chris Fike, who hired me into Rides, no problem!

I'd have thought rides wouldnt require you to stay as late as other depts, as isn't there a lot of ride prides come in at the start of september?

I'm working from June 10th til Sep 7th on rides this year
