I'm not going to do ride reviews, everyone is pretty sick of those. Instead I have a few notes from the park.
(This is an edit, I just remembered something.) -There were an ungodly amount of gnats in the park. The employees said they had started to arrive on Thursday. My Girlfriend was wearing an orange shirt and there was about 200 at a time on her.
(End of Edit) -I saw someone wearing a CoasterBuzz t-shirt by Power Tower before it opened. He was talking to some of the ride-ops and such. Who are you stranger?
-I always stick to hitting the back of the park first, here's why. I got Power Tower, Corkscrew, Gemini, Mean Streak, Mine Ride, and Magum in the first hour and a half.
-Noted a problem that is progressively getting worse with the GP, CELL PHONES! Some idiot was talking away on Mean Streak, up the hill, through the ride, in the station. The worse thing? The MS ride ops noticed this, and didn't say a word! CP needs to bring some rules into effect here.
-Mean Streak isn't as rough, but geeze, IT IS SQUEAKING! Oil those wheels, PLEASE? No wonder it earns the nickname Mean Squeak.
This next note will be sent to Cedar Point
-The Mantis crew was doing great. There was absolutely no stacking whatsoever. And the spieler (didn't catch his name. He was Asian, someone help me) was very funny. Such comments as "And don't forget to ride Mine Ride, because, well, no one else does." and "Please secure all personal belongings such as Rings, sunglasses, hats, and your Michael Bolton albums as Cedar Point can not, and will not, be held responsible for them."
-Millie was running great, as usual. Ride ops were doing a good job of keeping the line moving. Waited 1 hour.
-This is a plea to all DJ's, PLEASE STOP PLAYING LOVE SHACK! I heard it 5 times yesterday. Also, the DJ at Raptor, I think his name was D-Ryde, or Ryde-D, was hilarious. He danced and sang to every song, including New Kids On The Block. And the DJ said he couldn't play rap anymore because of fights in the line. Is this true?
-I rode Disaster Transport for the first time, I did hear the now infamous "I'm losing control" line in the last helix before the station.
-All in all, a great day at CP. Only waited 1 1/4 hours for Mantis, that was my longest wait. What is it with these Sundays at the park?
