Looks like it´s for wheel drives. Example (with motors and wheels attached): http://rcdb.com/ig977.htm?picture=5

I could be way off on this, but I was thinking they look somewhat like the brakes in the last block of Millennium Force.

I thought so too at first, but the more you look at the 07 pieces, the more they look like the example that Paradroid[DK] posted. http://rcdb.com/ig977.htm?picture=5

Imagine them without the drive wheels and it's easy to see the resemblance.

MillenniumMadMan, how do you post links the way you just did?

Pretty simple, really. Just highlight a word, then click the hyperlink button at the top of the reply box (the icon with the earth and a chain). Copy your link in the dialog box and click OK, and the word you highlighted will be a hyperlink.

Actually, TTD 120mph, I think you may be right about the I-beams. And, I think you just answered my question. The things I asked about look much like the "traversers" or whatever that the transfer track rides on in the KK picture. I can't tell if the track with the baord propped against it in this picture is the end of a track or just a transition to two-rail track.

Baseball Coaster Freak, which picture are you referring to about the "magnet"? Can you post the link, please?

sorry bout that

http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=6400

the piece to the right...looks kinda like an lim, or a magnetic break. Notice the metal protrusions? the consecutive nubbins lol. they look as if they might fit into the consecutive tiny holes of this track.

Mostly i'm just dumbfounded about those little holes in the center, and am trying to figure out what they're used for...any input would be AMAZING!

There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

nubbins! technical term...:)

I am pretty sure the little holes in the center are bolt holes where the LIM's are attached to the the track.

You can see what I mean here (as seen on WT):

You can barely see the nuts and bolts but they are there.

Sunfire, I believe the link you posted shows that the swiss cheese piece is for LIMs.:)

Look at the track, if you are confused

R.I.P. Mr. Scott

I say that they are break fins or Lim launch fins

(going from left to right) Traverses, drive wheel mounts, switch track guide.

I bet money those are what they are.:)

I think anything like the brake fins or launch fins will be kept out of the weather for the time being.

Um, Adam... I don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but if you're betting money on traversers to switch track on this ride, other than the transfer track, I think I'll take you up on that offer. :)

Well I dont care about if it's for switch or transfer. Its for either one, that I know for sure.
