This was my first trip to cedar point since about 1996. I'm now 21, so the last time i was there, i was a bit younger, and didnt get to do everything i wanted. Me and my girlfriend drove from long island to get there, and the trip was long, but worth it. We had purchased a pair of ride and slide tickets prior to going, so, on wednesday, we got up early and left the holiday inn express on milan road at about 8:45. We got to the front entrance at about 9:00, and they let us in shortly after that, but we had to wait a while right next to raptor before they let us run into the park. As soon as they let us in, we decided to leave dragster and millenium til later in the day. We went right to the magnum entrance, where we were first in line and waited about 10 minutes for them to for them to finish up testing and what not. We were on the first non test train out of the gate, we sat in the front seat. Great ride to start the day. Magnum was a little rougher than i had remembered it, but that only made it better in my opinion. Next we headed to gemini, and rode the blue train, which was the only one operating at the time. walked right on with no wait, and had a good ride. i love gemini for some reason. especially that last turn, lol. Next, we decided to go to Mean Streak. No wait for that either. Oddly, Mean Streak was a lot smoother than i remember it being, but it was a great ride, we sat somewhere in the middle, more towards the back of the train. At this point we stopped for some water and decided to get in line for Freeway stamps for millenium. We got those, and then went to stand in line for Mantis. This was the first ride we actually had to wait for, but it wasnt too bad, 25 minutes tops. Mantis i'm not a huge fan of for some reason. I enjoy it, but eh, it dosnt thrill me all that much. Also, while we were waiting on line for Mantis, we had noticed the blue Millenium Force train had gotten stuck about 1/3 of the way up the lift hill. I dno what had happened, but it started going right before we got into the loading station for mantis. Next we just grabbed some lunch over at johnny rockets, and then walked over to Wicked Twister. The line looked long, but went very fast. The crew was really efficient on this ride, and we waited about 15 minutes. We sat in the seat before the last one, and the ride was good. More fun than i had expected, although it hurt my crotch the last time we went backwards up the spire. Since our millenium force freeway was for 2-3, we figured we'd head over to dragster and wait to ride that before millenium. It was about 1:15pm at this point, and we timed it perfectly. We waited about an hour for dragster. The line started right about where they have the soda machines. The line was long, but somehow, it didnt feel all that long, i guess we were busy watching the ride and what not. Before we knew it, we were sitting in the purple car, waiting to go. This was my first ever ride on an intamin rocket, and i was really pleased. Our train cleared the tower with ease, which was kinda dissapointing, but it was a great time. We walked around to millenium force at this point which had about an hour and a half wait. Luckily we had freeway stamps. I cant tell you how happy i was we had those. it dumped us right at the ramp when u start walking up. Although i felt bad about cutting the whole line, we waited about 10 min, and we rode millenium force. I've been on a lot of roller coasters, but this has got to be THE BEST i've ever been on ( in my opinion ). At this point we were pretty tired, so we headed back to our hotel. We also went the next day, maybe i'll post my experience for that day another time. But my overrall time at cedar point was excellent. i cant wait to come back.
Ack. Right next to the apostrophe (') key is the Enter key. Try using that to break up your text into readable paragraphs.
Yeah, what bholcomb said. Good report though. Glad to hear you could take advantage of FreeWay...I don't remember the last time I've rode Millennium Force without it!
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
