August 30 & 31 TR

I'll tell you right now that this could be a long post. Here we go.

Day 1: I arrived at the park with my brother and his friends just after 10:00 and we ran to TTD to meet two of my other friends. The queue hadn't opened yet and we were about 100 feet in front of the launch hold position. But the ride didn't open until about 10:20, so after about a 45 minute wait including the delayed opening, we got on. Unfortunately, one of my brother's friends was too large for the seatbelt and couldn't ride. TTD qualifies as my new breakfast of champions. After that we headed over to Mantis to get on it before the line developed. We waited 5 minutes :D. I personally love Mantis, so that was great. We then headed to MF (my favorite).. I was so excited to see that the line was at the bottom of the ramp, but those meddling friends of mine wanted to do something that everyone could do, because Bradley was too large for the seatbelt. I wasn't too happy with my group by that point. Anyway, we headed back to Mean Streak, jumped on that in 5 minutes. I rode 2nd to the back seat and it was great (despite what most think ;) )! We then went around the back, hitting Magnum and then Power Tower, then going up to the front of the park. We rode Raptor at about 1:30, and noticed that the trains were ascending the lift VERY slowly and sounded awful. Not 10 minutes after we got off, Raptor went down for maintenance, and didn't open back up even through the next day.
I rode Demon Drop 3x, then headed back to MF myself to get some laps in. I rode twice, but since the park closed at 8:00, and we wanted to get another Maverick ride in before it closed, I had to leave MF before I got my 3 laps. Overall, a good first day.
Day 2: Another one of my friends came on Friday, and he tore his ACL a few days ago so we had handicapped access. My brother and his goons were over in the waterpark, so I had no one to hold me back today! I'll make this one short and sweet...
Raptor was down all day. Handicapped access is so beautiful....
I rode MF SIX times (including 2nd last train of the night), TTD 3 times, Maverick 3 times, Maggie twice, Power Tower once on each side, Mean Streak twice, DT, WT 2 times, and Mantis 2 times.
One more note: While on Mean Streak, I noticed a man on a mechanical lift, about 100 feet in the air. But there was nothing up there. Like he wasn't working on anything. It looked like he was looking around, and that was in the same area as the construction vehicles shown in the CP Blog. Strange....
Great trip! Can't wait to go again next year! BTW... new MF lap count = 30!

it really was a lot of fun... despite maXair & Raptor being down for most of the trip... glad I got on Raptor.

I was there the day after raptor broke down (August 31) so I did not get to ride it. Do you know when Maxair is supposed to be back up? I heard a rumor that it might not even be up for the 2008 season. But thats only a rumor so it most likely is not true.
