Hit the park first thing for Joe Cool. I was surprised to see that they open the Magnum entrance gate at 8:45 and everyone flocks almost under the Magnum track (similar to the entrance gate). To me, this seems very unsafe because you know EVERYONE runs when the gate is pulled away. I was concerned that if I fell, it would not have been good.
Hit TTD, front row and then did another quick ride on it because the line was pretty short. Hit MF and off to Raptor (2 train operation). By then it was starting to threaten rain (spritzing). But I still went over did MaXair and WT. By then, I thought it was a good time to get going back home (it was 11:30). Hit Magnum (2 train operation) on the way out. Lines weren't too bad, can't complain. The weather did send me packing!
Ran into quite a few people I knew and we had a great time, being rowdy as usual!
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
I was there that day also raptorqueen, believe me, you got out at the right time. By 1 or 2 the rain started. It wasn't very hard but as the day went on it got harder and harder and never stopped. We went into Coasters to eat before we left, and to get out of the rain. We were there until after 5 hoping for the rain to let up, but it didn't.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Thanks for leaving the park when the rains came. It must have been a mass exodus. I was at Millennium Force when it hit, but to my amazement the coaster just kept on running. I guess that magnetic brakes are unaffected by water??? Well, I just couldn't pass up walk-ons on my favorite coaster, so I just rode The Force for the rest of the day until the park closed at 8:00 p.m. End result: 27 laps for the day. A new record. Thanks to the MF crew for keeping it going.
MForce, if I would have been staying that night you bet I would have been there with you but I didn't want to be soaked on the 2 hour ride home. I couldn't believe that things kept running in the pouring rain. I rode MF just as the rain started and it was a bit painful but fun.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
When the rain stopped on the 31, no one came back to the park. It was the smallest crowd I have seen in a long time. MF AND TTD were both walk ones. Go figure. Maybe we broke TTD riding it so many times!! I thought it could not rain an entire day away, but it rained from 10:30am on the 30th, and finally stopped at 10:30 the 31st. Still 2 great days!!!

MLEM4S Still Rules!!!
I understand why you didn't stay to ride, Vince982. I was soaked--and cold--by the time the park closed. I DID spend the night in town, and believe me when I got back to my hotel room I turned the heat on and draped my clothes over the vents to dry. And just as you said, Zanderdad, the park was absolutely dead on the 31st. I went over to Dragster at noon and found a 3 or 4 train wait to ride. I had to pinch myself I thought I was dreaming. I rode TTD 15 times in a row, and the only waits I had were the 3 rides I decided to take in the front seat. Absolutely amazing! I tried to post a trip report earlier today, but when I clicked the submit button, this website told me that my login had expired. I lost the whole letter. So I guess I need to send this before I lose this too!!! I don't think that Dragster's line ever left the loading platform all day.
