I've been to Cedar point 3 times in the last 10 years now but I used to go every year from age 7 to 15. We gotta start going back every year, this place is just greatness!
The crowds were low! Not a cloud in the sky and 80-85 degrees both days. We got on a lot and wasn't even rushing. Went with a group of 9 and we all shared a cabin. Barbecued in the morning, and rode everything we wanted and then some! It's indescribable the nostalgia I have with this park and introducing it to my friends 8 year old daughter just brought back so many memories. She was so scared of everything and to watch her face her fears and freak out afterwards was hilarious. We saw some other kid crying as he got off dragster and was like "Alright Sol you killed it! Hows it feel?! You just rode the biggest baddest thing here" and shes throwing up the devil horns doin some goofy dance and is all "I rocked it out uh huh huh How did I get this awesome? I dont know I just am! Lets go again!"(She watches wayy too much iCarly for her own good) when 5 minutes before she was pissing herself. We got her on it because we lied to her all day with things like "You went on the Magnum, that is a lot bigger than the Dragster, this is easy , Magnum is soo much scarier and you did that!" And she believed us, as if she couldn't even tell Dragster was much bigger. Gotta love child's perspective. Her enthusiasm just fueled my own. She was too short to get on the Raptor, but she faced her fears and knocked out Dragster twice, "Millileal Force" or "Millilium Force"(as she calls it) twice, Maverick twice, and a crapload of PowerTower/SkyHawk,MaxAir rides.
So many walk ons!!, Dragster was 15 minute wait on sunday night! Awesome! We were laughing and goofing off all day, the short lines we did have we were playin dumb games and ribbing each other smackin each others heads as we passed each other goin down the aisles, playing hackey with a stupid Aquafina bottle cap.. Big groups of family/friends allows you to mix up your convos and material all day. Good stuff. I can't wait til I have kids to introduce to Cedar Point.
We hit everything we wanted but the Paddle wheel ( I really get off on the cheesy jokes) and Blue Streak. oh Well
The scariest ride there was MaxAir because every time it gets up there high I feel that kick on the fall and its a bit unnerving.
