I decided I would visit the park once more this season to offer a farewell to Mean Streak. I'm still about the same size I was in early July, though I haven't been as strict with my dieting as of late. I'll try to give a rundown as to what we did in order.
Blue Streak: Good fit for this one and I continued my method of buckling the seatbelt before I sat down on PTC trains. I will always continue to enjoy this ride and I hope more folks keep taking their kids on this one.
Iron Dragon: No problem, as per the usual. I don't think I've ever had problems on this ride.
Rougarou: Rode in big boy seat row three. Didn't bother trying a normal seat this time as I've noticed that the big boy seat is a seat that sits just a little deeper than the regular ones. Fantastic ride.
Mean Streak: Same thing with PTC trains: buckled before sitting and snug through torso. Rode in the last car of the train and got a trimless ride. Fantastic with no jackknifing train around turns one and two. We hauled the mail down the hill past turn two and by where the cameras were mounted. Was pleased my daughter got to experience an authentic MS ride.
Maverick: Walked in with the wait time reading 30 minutes and ended up using 90 minutes to ride this one. Only rode it once as it endured a long wait all day. No issues with restraint.
Cedar Creek Mine Ride: Had to ride this one with my legs crossed, but still fun. Being tall is a bit cumbersome on this one.
Gemini: Arrow trains like this one (and Magnum) are the best fit of any ride. Lots of airtime and I always enjoy the headchoppers being so tall. Nearly 40 years for this one and still going strong. Got to race with two full trains on our circuit.
Magnum XL-200: Same great fit as with Gemini. Rode in the last car of train and, though I had to endure a little of abuse to my "equipment," it was very fun.
Corkscrew: Needed a bit of help with seatbelt due to being so tall, but rode just fine otherwise.
GateKeeper: Rode in big boy seat on left side. Only needed minor assistance with belt. Great ride as usual.
Raptor: This is the only ride I have an issue with due to its age. The ride host who assisted me gathered the belt and locked it while pushing the restraint down like the pros they usually are. Otherwise, it was a great ride in row two against the afternoon sun glistening against the ride's new paint job.
At this point, we decided we would enjoy an early evening stroll along the Frontier Trail and observing it's quaint features and live, bluegrass music near the former Shoot The Rapids site.
Mean Streak: Took my final ride with my daughter in tow again. We rode in the middle of the train and received another exciting, trimless ride. I don't think I'd ridden Mean Streak like that in over 10 years. The MCBR continues to be a near stop, so, it didn't get continuously faster like it used to, but we were still treated to speeds in excess of 65 MPH. Going to miss it, but I am confident that the park's leadership will turn it into a wilder ride yet.
Rougraou: Redux but rode in fourth row big boy seat. Got to experience some of the night time sound effects and strobe work. Lots to enjoy in the evening sunset.
Iron Dragon: Another redux but waited for the front row and we were treated to being the final train of the night. It was lots of fun, but the bugs were forgettable.
GateKeeper: Rode once more to get our money's worth for at least one ride at night. Rode left side big boy seat. Buckled the restraint myself this time. Flying through the keyholes is much more intense at night and when those are the only things lit.
Midway Carousel: We put the cherry on top of our day with a trip on the park's oldest ride.
I used to carry a lot of weight through my waist and rear. Getting rid of that has helped me get back on some rides. Now, I have more work to do in getting rid of my college beer gut, which is my misery on Raptor.
Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, and Valravn all boasted ride wait times in excess of 90 minutes throughout the day. We decided to skip these rides in an effort to take in as much as we could.
I was a bit miffed at the prices at the Joe Cool Cafe considering the quality of food that is offered. My dad said it would be better served as an all-you-can eat pizza buffet comparable to Cici's Pizza. There was hardly anyone in there when we stopped for a late lunch.
All things considered, I've been visiting since 1992 and I'll continue to do so.
Did you ride Wicked Twister? I love that ride!
RMC Mean Streak: 215ft Tall, 75mph, 4 inversions. 2020)ALL BLACK B&M Flying Coaster on Millennium Island. 2023 or 2025) Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter like Takabisha
My goal is to be able to ride EVERYTHING next year at CoasterMania and run the 5k or 10k. Wicked Twister & Raptor were a no-go for me this year, everything else was pretty tight. MF & TTD required assistance and the B&Ms required big boy seats. I've got my work cut out for me at 6'4" and 280+lbs. I have to get my thyroid under control too, that's what's putting on the weight.

I have a previous trip report from July 7-9 that is still posted in this forum for reference, if any of you are curious.
The dimensions I measured then are still pretty accurate:
75" height (6'3")
43" waist
46" chest
25" thigh
18" neck
I haven't even bothered trying the test seat at WT in years. The only time I rode it was in 2004, when I was approx 190 lbs.
It's worth noting that I am able to fit the normal seats on GateKeeper and Rougarou - I just choose to ride the big boy seat because it is more accommodating for my height.
I'll be around to answer questions all day.
Thanks for the wait times! Going on Sun-Tues for the first time in a while. I never was a runner until I moved to the city and now have fun running around - just keep going a little longer each week and you'll be able to do a 5k in no time. Consistency is key! Also a good healthy satisfying meal is to make your own chipotle style bowl with brown rice, veggies, salsa (no cheese). McCormick has this chipotle garlic seasoning that makes it taste spot on.

I last rode Wicked Twister in 2007, was probably around 255lbs then. My brother and I rode it 6 or 7 times in a row; exit the ride, come back around, wait for that cycle to finish, get back on. It was awesome. WT is one of my personal favorites. I miss that ride. Too bad the belts are ridiculously short now.

My husband and I were there the end of August, he did not fit on Wicked Twister. He's big but I didn't think that big and me I was shocked when I got in the first seat, it buckled and fastened fine but the ride operator said no I don't fit. I moved to the row in front of it and was fine. I don't understand if the belt locked why he said no. We are going back for Halloweekends and hes worried with it being colder that he's not going to fit so we've both started watching what we eat because i couldn't believe that I didn't fit in the one seat on WT. We both were fine on raptor and millennium force but left the park early and didn't get to try any others.
If the seatbelt buckled, I can assure you the ride host wouldn't have said "you don't fit". I'm willing to bet that the seatbelt reached the inside of the buckle, but not enough for it to click. Especially considering ride hosts are trained since day 1 of employment to never use the words "fit, fat, and force". Wicked Twister's restraints are different than Raptor's. We're talking about 2 different manufacturers here.
I'm not making it up, it fastened and clicked which is why I couldn't understand why he said no. My husband I could understand as he had gained some weight since our last trip and has broad shoulders. As for me I'm still puzzled by it but it was late and I didn't really want to ask why. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this, why is it every time I post something I get a negative or rude response back? I'm only stating my experience and looking for other opinions not snarkiness
Sometimes it's two clicks or no go. I haven't been on WT in years. I'm not huge by any means, but my bulk is in all the wrong places, I guess.
Thanks RCMAC, that is good to know. It seems bizarre to me that WT is that difficult to fit in. I understand that if you are on the bigger side you cannot expect to be able to fit on all the rides but WT is beyond reasonable, I hear so many people say they don't fit and just like me probably aren't big either. I know for women it can be tricky with the chest area but I definitely don't have that issue. I am going to try in October again and I'm going to pay attention to hear 2 clicks.
