August 20th

Didn't get to the park unfortunately until noon. Went and rode Wicked Twister first off. We waited around 40 minutes. Next we went across the walkway and rode Maxair which had about a 30 minute wait. After this we decided we would head to the other end of the park. The people I went with wanted to ride Magnum however I stood this one out. Too rough for me. Instead I went over to Challenge Park and rode Skyscraper. WOW what an experience. There's no words that can describe the rush you get from the face first drops. I actually thought it would be a little more intense than what it was. The best thing about this ride are the chest straps instead of the bulky OVTH restraints. I initially thought that these restraints would "dig" into you but was I wrong. They were super comfortable. After that I headed back over to Magnum and met up with the rest of the group. We then went on Corkscrew which had about a 25 minute wait. While in line for Corkscrew TTD went down with a mechanical issue and they weren't letting any more people to join the line. So we started a mini line outside the entrance. Once they got it running again they let us (around 50 ppl or so) join the rest of the line. Once we got up to the station it went down again for around 45 minutes. People started to leave the line and we were just turning to walk out of the line, we turned around, and they opened it back up. Got lucky and only waited for around 60 minutes total for this one. Next we headed over to Maverick. Sign said around 1-3/4 hr wait. We got in line and made it to the last turn in the building before the steps in 30 minutes and then unfortunately it had mechanical issues and was down for around 45 minutes. After Maverick some people in the group wanted to ride Millenium Force but I chose to ride Mantis. I like the looping coasters better. Wait was around 45 minutes and this was the last ride due to the 2-1/2 hr ride home. We left around 8:30 or so and the park was still packed. Unfortunately I didn't get to ride Raptor or Power Tower. Those are the only two I wish I would have gotten to ride.

Overall it was a decent day. Park was jam packed to the hilt. If rides didn't break down right when we got to their stations we would have had a much better down. But hey the tickets were free so how can I really complain.

I got scared because I thought things were a lot slower in late Aug, - then I saw you went on a Sat.

I love coasters but wont return on Halloweekends because of the lines and your TR made me think of that.

Glad you still had a good time.

I'm going out to get some air.
