Another great trip, this time with some Cedar Point 1st timers, my cousins and their family from new york. The youngest was a 10 year old and he really only rode the tame stuff even though he was tall enough for everything. Highlights:
Had a really fun few rides on Gemini. When I was there in July I was there on pretty slow days and they only ran one side much of the day, which totally defeats the purpose of the ride for me.
Went to Soak City for awhile, the first time in quite a few years I have been there. Soak City is just okay overall, I did go to the swim up bar for awhile with my parents, my first time being there with them while over 21. Pretty neat little area actually, expensive beer but I guess thats to be expected.
Lines were very short both days, longest wait was 45 minutes for Dragster.
On Wednesday night at about 9:30 I went on Magnum for the first time this trip, and I swear the trims before the pretzel turnaround were off! The thing just flew through the second half of the ride, it was insane! I'm not sure I have ever rode it like that, was it just a fluke or do the trims fail sometimes or what? I almost got right back on it again as there was no line, but wanted to get a final ride on Maverick to end the night. If anyone knows anymore about the trims on Maverick let me know. They trims were on on both of my rides on thursday.
Only low-point of the trip happend on Maxair. Of course everyone knows how they give you numbers and you are suppoused to get in that seat. Well I had seat 47 and when I got there an older guy at least 60 was in my seat, so I just kinda shaked my head and got in to 46 which was suppoused to be for the girl behind me (what more can you do?). Anyways I looked back at her as she was kinda confused as were a few other people and I think I said sorry my seat was taken to her. She looked semi-upset but her and her friend went to 2 seats that were open, and as she was walking away the guy who was in the wrong seat called her a dumb B****. Im pretty sure she was out of earshot, but I was so shocked by this I had to say something to this guy. I said something along the lines of dont call her that when you are the one in the wrong seat. They guy didnt really reply, but man the neve of some people. Making it even worse he was with what I can only assume to be his grandson who couldnt have been more than 10, sitting right next to him.
Otherwise another great trip to Cedar Point!
