Hey everyone.
I was wondering what bank Cedar Point uses for their ATM. I live in NY and obviously it's different and before I process in for the summer I would like to open an account with whatever bank CP uses so I can withdraw money as I need it without having to pay a fee.
Thanks

The ATM's in the park are National City. Which works out great for me since the university I'm going to has them on campus. *** Edited 4/20/2007 12:40:08 AM UTC by Gomez***

I had problems depositing into my Michigan National City Account in Ohio. I had to always use the freaking ATM.
there are national city atms around the park and at commons, CP also uses us banks too. there's an atm at cedars

Are there things that only accept cash? I was hoping I didn't have to bring or withdrawal any. I have an account with MSU credit union, and the only ATMs I can use at no charge are a mile or two away (ones with the CO-OP network), unless there are any others near CP.
Alright for direct deposit, it says to any bank in U.S., does this include credit unions? I'm planning on having it deposited in my MSU account.

Yes, the direct deposit should include credit unions. Those are just like banks.
And yes, you will need cash. That is all the cafe and stockade take as well as many other locations within the park.

You can always go into town tho and buy something with your debit card and when they ask for how much cash you want back just say 20 bucks or however much you'll need...that's how I get my money out for free because the only banks they have here in the U.P. where I live are yooper banks that are found no where else in the world :P

If you're a MSUFCU member you can just use the ATM inside of 7-11 on Camp Street. I've used it before without a hassle. I don't believe it accepts deposits, though. You'll have that covered with Direct Deposit, though.
Well yeah it would make more sense doing direct deposit than mailing it haha. Yeah I looked up the ATMs I could use and did see the one at 7-11. I just need to find a way to get there.

Ryan, my mom told me that you are able to take direct deposits out of the credit union. I have an account at one as well.
I'm sure you can take a bus to that 7-11. Well this is my first year, but I'm still sure you can. Just do as I say and that bus probably can get you there.

No, I don't think you can take a bus there. If you don't have a car, you might have to ask a friend to take you there or eat the cost of an ATM fee, or get an account with National City for the summer. (Which might not be a bad idea to wire transfer money from National City to your MSUFCU account if you can't technically access the MSUFCU account easily - Help you save some cash up)

Well yeah, because in the UP they just use a mattress in the back of the bank for the vault and their security system is a moose! Do they give you a free pasty for opening up a new account? :P

I had a MI National City account and opted to just start a checking account with them in Ohio (since there are two locations right off of Milan Rd --one is on Perkins, the other is on the way to Meijer). I don't like the idea of giving my paycheck to a machine, I'd rather see a teller enter in my information and give me my balance slip in person.
Having a National City account is more convenient then U.S Bank in that the ATMs in the park are National city, and the ATM in the Commons Store is also National City (reduce the ATM surcharges whenever possible).
To open a National City account you just need to be able to depost like $50, and at the end of the season you can close the account without fee since your a seasonal employee.
