Arrow Dynamics RC Questions

Just like Jordawg said, it has to do with maintenance. Thunderhawk was very smooth last year at MiAd. T2 had to be one of the worst SLC that I have ever been on! Vekoma is a good company, but many of their products are mostly copy-cats anyway.

True about Wildcat! If it was in such a horrible condition to be retracked, it would most likely be torn down! :)

I wouldn't even necessarily think it'd have to be a coaster company to do so. I can imagine just about anyone that can fabricate steel could probably make some track for the Magnum.

I figure that a company specializing in coaster track will be able to do the job a lot faster and cheaper than a company that CAN do it, but doesn't do it every day.

Didn't Vekoma actually LICENSE the track design from Arrow in the first place?

edit: Oh, and if Wildcat needs a re-track, let me know and I'll bring my Erector Set...

I would have to agree with you all on that, T2 at SFKK is pretty crappy, worst thing was I waited 30 mins for it. The ride is so rough and not fun, awhile ThunderHawk when it was at GL it was much better.

I would agree with Ralph Wiggum that the Vekomas aren't that great. Also:

Expedition Everest is not that bad.

Well it shouldn't be bad when you spend $100 million on it. What do you expect?

That's not entirely accurate though. Yes, EE cost 100 million, but only about 20 (if that) went into the coaster. The rest was researching Tibet, theming the area, developing the Yeti and building the freakin mountain.
On top of that, I would be interested to know how much was actually left up to Vekoma, and how much was Disney saying "Here's the blue prints, manufacture this."

Its a little funny how the Voyage at 8.5 million was ranked best new ride of 2006, while Expedition Everest at 100 million ranked second behind it.

You actually like boomerangs, and you liked Thunder Hawk?

Thunder Hawk was not bad when I was stapled, There was to much of a gap between clicks. My favorite boomerang is a toss up between Sidewinder at Hershey, or Face - Off/ Invertigo at KI. My favorite seat on the traditional boomerang is Car 2 row 1 or "21" in our lingo.

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!

Maybe I'm just getting too old, but Expedition Everest had a lot more of a punch than I was expecting.

It would be nice to see them maybe give the Magnum cars a new look! They are staring to look out of date!

Magnum's retro space themed trains are part of its charm. Don't make bholcomb and I come over and break your arm. That is all.
