I don't see why Gemini or Mine Ride would need to be tracked. I think they operate great and run smoothly. I do see future recalculations of the slopes and inclines to allow the trains to run better in the morning and colder days of Spring and Fall allowing for greater capacity and less chance of rollbacks. I don't know if that would be worth the price to do.
Just your usual come and go poster. One week I am here, then I disappear for a while.
Vekoma has done rehab before?
I was just thinking, is Magnum getting new trains this year? With it becoming 20 this year, I would assume the trains are ready for an overhaul, although there's nothing wrong with them right now. Have they been replaced before?

Agreed. I don't universally hate Vekomas. Just most of them.

I would doubt they'd get new trains now or anytime in the near future. The ones they have seem to be in good shape for their age. Plus, when I was there for the Polar Bear Plunge the trains looked to be in some stage of their annual rehab, and you wouldn't rehab something you're getting rid of.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
If they have managed to keep the CCMR trains, even after Arrow has come up with a better car for them (individual lap bars with more room, and a quicker loading time) then I highly doubt Magnum is getting any new trains. The ride was the most ridden on roller coaster last year, partially due to those cars why mess with it? The only upgrade I see them possibly doing is adding retracting seat belts like the Streaks and Adventure Express @ KI.
All Vekoma track is the same Gauge as Arrow, Look at a boomerang and Corkscrew. The only bad Vekomas I've been on was T2 at SFKK and X-Flight at GL. I have Rode 3 boomerangs, Expedition Everest, rockin' Rollercoaster, and Woodstock and thought they were great. Just becsuse Vekoma does not build the tallest and fastest, or Cedar Point never put a bigger one in does not mean they suck.
I have noticed a dierance when a ride is taken care of and when a ride is not. I rode T2 at SFKK and thought it was rougher then hell and I rode Thunder Hawk at GL and it was good. It depends on how well maintained a ride is, ie wheel replacement, wiring etc. Like I said before, the track is the same, and arrow trains were placed on Boomerangs before with no retro-fitting involved.
Even Morgan is the sameway, look at Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood. I also rode Steel Force at Dorney and the Trains were big, I have some tight squeezes in Magnum and rode Steel force and had a lot of room. And the Differance in Arrow and Vekoma was just body style.

09 Monster/ Witches Wheel - TL
08 Mean Streak
07 Monster/ Witches Wheel
Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
Save The Big Dipper!
It doesn't but in the event that it did, because Arrow is out of bussiness, and who would do it. Just like IF Wildcat needed to be re-track Intamin would probably do it.

You actually like boomerangs, and you liked Thunder Hawk?

Vekoma distaste has nothing to do with how tall or fast they are. They're terrible, rough, uncomfortable, ugly rides. Woodstock and the Aerosmith coaster are the only Vekomas that I can think of that didn't make me want to jump off the train mid-ride.
