Aquatic Stadium

I'll throw another log into the fire... What if Peanuts Playground were to go as well? That would add even more room in the same area.

I can't say I want CP to lose more of it's Kids Attractions, but PP doesn't seem to be a huge hit as is...

Is this turning into a Project '## Thread?

Yes CPEFX, they took out a number of trees by Ocean Motion. You can see the ride now. They also did some other landscaping around there. And to me Ocean Motion doesn't seem to have the loud squeek it had last year either.

I noticed they trimmed a few trees around Magnum also, especially near the exit ramps. The new growth is just filling in.

i had no idea asking that question would have such a reaction. I never watched a show there. I watched the dive show once from the WT que. thats about it.

1997 was the last year of Oceana.

In 1998 Misty died and Breeze was retired to the Dolphin Research Center.

Just for fun, I should point out that a high school friend of mine was named Misty Breaze VanWinkle.

Her name was actually Misty <something> VanWinkle, but she changed her middle name to Breaze for her father, who used to call her "Misty Breeze".

That's not as bad as my high school sweetheart: Miracle Joy Hakim. I wish I were joking.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Summer Knight was a girl in my high school...

but back on topic...if Peanuts Playground were to be moved, I think that would be the better option, as dead as that whole area seems to be anymore, kids still use it.

If memory serves me correctly, kids (including myself at the time) used Kid Arthurs Court as well... but it still went by the wayside.

Don't you be messin' with my boys Peanuts Playground now...

That's about the only area in the whole park where we can just let the kiddies run around and play without having to worry. There isn't a whole lot for the kids to do where they can burn off some excess energy. After waiting in lines for a while they can get pretty restless.

Not to mention Kid Arthurs Court had its time years ago, and far surpassed its golden years. Peanuts Playground is more up-to-date, so understandably, it'll probably stick around.

Odds are if they're going to add another coaster, be it GCI or not, it'll be in '09, not '08.

I desperately miss OCEANA. Booooo. :(

As much as I love coasters, it's high time that the park think about more "family oriented" entertainment and mild attractions...other than rides.

Of all the times I've attended the Dive show, I don't think I ever even saw it 25% full. Holiday World does a nice dive show, but even that venue wasn't completely full and it isn't nearly the size of the Aquatic Stadium. I think I was only able to see the Dolphin show once before it was gone, but I remember enjoying it.

Well I was at the point yesterday and made it a "point" :) to stop in and take a look at the stadium. (http://tinyurl.com/39ho7m) Contrary to what was posted before the boarded windows (http://tinyurl.com/36t6jj) are not screwed into the glass. The viewing windows are actually farther back so there is plenty of room for them to secure the temp walls and even use it for storage. (http://tinyurl.com/2jtyeh) So it is possible for them to still use the stadium.

That last picture you linked shows large pieces of all-thread going through the glass, I don't understand how you think they can re-use that glass.
