Hi, my daughter just completed the online application on the official site and I wondered if they will even look at it considering it said they would look at it for any openings that come up for the 2006 season.
Should we have waited a few weeks or will they still look at hers?
What is the process like from here?
I really dont know. With the season Complete I highly doubt they will look at. Right now they have a "Workcrew" which is the seasonal employees helping tear the park down for the season.

You have to wait for the 2007 application comes up online.

I believe it comes online the first or second week in January.

I thought they came out mid- to late-December? Either way, you'll have to wait until Dec. or Jan. for the 2007 apps to go online before you can apply. Otherwise it just looks like you're applying for this season.

Thanks for the information. We talked to a few people who worked on Dragster and got the impression we had to apply right at the end of the season for her to get a job in rides.

They tear down the park each season...that must take a long time...lol
Amber, if you want a job in rides, you just need to put it on your application as your first choice...even if you apply in June or July, there's a decent chance you'll be hired. People leave all the time...it's just part of the business. Not saying it doesn't hurt to probably apply ASAP if you want to work a major coaster like Millie or something.

If you want a job apply in December with everyone else. About 35% are rehires from years before. The rest is a crap shot. But to appy in July or August is a waste of time unless you have an area aup check your app, which they won't do unless told about!!

It's not a waste of time to apply in July or August at all, especially for rides. Like kirk said, people are always leaving.. whether it's to go back to school or internationals going home or things just not working out. The managers check for new applications pretty frequently during the season, especially towards the end because with so many people having to leave at the end of August to go back to school staffing gets pretty tight for the last few weeks of the season and weekends.

Exactly like you! See, right here is proof that you can apply at the end of August and still get a job in rides :)
