Application

My friend and I just sent in applications at the end of March and haven't heard back from CP yet. Does anyone with experience know if we have a shot at getting hired this summer? Let me know what you think or if you have any idea what the timetable for getting responses is.

This is my first year at CP plus I'm already hired in, but they called me for an interview about a week and half to two weeks after I sent my application in, but that was earlier this year.

Yes you do still have a chance. I started back on Monday. If you are going into rides. The Sups and Area Mgrs. are very busy with clean-up and getting park ready. Just be patient. Also if your availability is a wide range they like it better.

yeah, i was wondering the same thing. I'm starting to worry that I won't get hired at all. that would be a major disappointment. i've wanted to work here for a summer for as long as i can remember...

Yeah, I know what you mean. If we don't end up getting jobs, we're just going to get season passes and go down there for a bunch of weekends, but it just wouldn't be the same. I've got my fingers crossed, though, so hopefully it works out for everyone.

Just from personal experience...

I applied online early one morning, got the call from HR in the afternoon with the interview, got offered the job at the end of the call, and by evening I got the email of what crew I was working on. Was quite shocked how quick it all happened compared to what everyone else had said. I'd definitely recommend applying online I guess, wouldn't hurt.

Wow, that's nuts. I applied in the middle of December and didn't receive a phone call until February.

I too filled out the online application late one night, and got a call back from HR first thing the next morning. The next day, I got another call from the area manager with a job offer.

Everything went pretty quick both seasons for me. Have you tried calling HR back yourself?

Wow, that's way fast. I'm just getting tired of waiting, and I'm kind of stuck because I don't know whether to start interviewing for a job back home or not.

It doesn't hurt to do other interviews: give yourself as many options as you can, that way you can choose and be assured a job.

Mine was done in a matter of 6 hours from submission to being hired. I don't know how the positions are now or if they're about filled up.

Kool! I helped my Brother fill out his app. last week and it's already been seen by 3 managers I'm just waiting on him to call me and let me know he had his phone Interview. I already know which Dept. he might be in by looking at the Managers that reviewed his application so far. I'm hoping he gets what he wanted. My older brother got offered Arcade Manager and Tech and he turned it down lol wish they give it to me but oh well I'm stuck where I'm at Area 2 RR. This my First Year too so I'm looking forawrd to it can't be that bad can it?

yeah, mine's been being tossed around between different managers, and I'm wondering if it's because I have to leave at the end of July instead of at the end of the season.

im also still waiting to hear back. i submitted mine kinda late (april 12th) so i expected that to happen.

only my problem is that i put my earliest start date at may 14th...less than a month away. so who knows?

i checked the status on the site and it stills says avaliable for review

Yeah, that was my problem too. I was planning to stick around home and play ball for another summer, but when the league got cancelled, I decided to go for it. I really wanted a job as a ride host, but those are all filled up now. Oh well, I'll make due, I guess.

good luck, mate. I decided to withdraw my app because I got a good job back home. It's too bad though, I really wanted to work at CP this summer. Oh well, I'll have to make due with a season pass...
