if there are no traffic problems the shuttle takes... what guys? 5 minutes? to get from the apartments to the park, but there's usually a lot of cars going to or from (depending on the time of day) the park... I like living on point better, but I've made that point more detailed in other threads. =)

I've been told by so many people that living offpoint is a heck of a lot better, because the Cedars dorms are crap. Is this true?

well.. cedars dorms ARE crap, but I don't think commons is a WHOLE lot better. Commons ARE in better condition, but it's not like you're in your room a whole lot anyways. Literally last year all I did was sleep in my room, and that's because I was always busy doing other stuff, not because I was trying to stay out of a gross living area.

I never lived in Cedars (not allowed anyway, being female) but I stayed there a lot in 2003, and the only real problem I had was that it is HOT in there. The room I was in had a fan, but it was not really getting the job done. For some reason, it is 20 degrees warmer in that building then what it is outside. SO uncomfortable. Of course I was spoiled because I AC is Commons. But other than that, not too horrible a place.
