Anyone stayed at Howard Johnson recently

Hi, we are planning a trip in a few weeks and want to see if the Howard Johnson has been remodeled recently. The reviews i see are not that great but the rate is great.

This is a kind of out of date experience, but about 4 years ago I stayed at a Howard Johnson for a night with my dad. I would really advise against it. There was a hole in the wall between the beds that hadn't really been patched up (?) and the shower was really pathetic.

We saw the same reviews, and went because it was at a very busy time of the year for the park (we went to the park several times, staying at a few different hotels, I would personally recommend the Ramada.)

Then again, that was 4 years ago, so things may have changed quite a bit. For better or for worse...

I stayed at the Entrance Gate HoJo on opening weekend with a few others. We got a 4-bed suite for a decent price. It certainly wasn't anything spectacular.. one or two of the tv's didn't really work at all, and the room was mediocre. But for us it was essentially just a place to sleep and get a shower, so it did the trick I suppose. Don't go in with good expectations haha.
