Anyone ever do housekeeping???

That's the position i hopefully get my interview is march 5th. Can you get a lot of hours? can you walk to work from the gold dorms? thanks

Just wondering, when did you put fill your app out? I am trying to get into housekeeping also.

like a month ago. i have an interview on saturday. I don't know if I'm gonna get a housekeeping job though because on my employee info sheet it says option 2 hotel food service. We'll see on saturday i guess

Hotel food service and housekeeping aren't the same thing. If you are really interested in housekeeping but you don't think you indicated that on the application then call HR and ask them to add/change it. There are plenty of housekeeping jobs.

Upside to the job is working indoors, typically just day shifts (nights free), and not having to deal too much with guests...if that is your thing. You work quite a bit on your own but you need to keep fast paced in order to get your responsibilities done. You will have to deal with messy/dirty rooms once in a while but by and large it is vacumming, making beds and cleaning bathrooms that aren't all that bad.
