It's still a little early but the forecast looks awful sunday. 70 percent chance of thunderstorms and severe ones possible. I know this doesn't means it's going to pour all day but it just worrys me a bit. I'm going to risk it and go Sunday. I'm only driving from columbus so a day at cp no matter what the weather is better than being home. Anyone else going to risk it and go Sunday?
I'm thinking about it. I've been at CP the past four Sundays, so I gotta keep my streak alive!
A rainy day at CP can be loads of fun, depending on what things you enjoy doing. Since you have Dragster in your name, I'll say that riding Dragster is not one of those things. But it might be a good day for some Millennium marathoning. I'm thinking the haunted houses will have very short lines as well, since they have every Halloweekend Sunday so far, and the weather has been decent to great.

I rode GK this summer in the absolutely pouring rain (no lightning). We were so surprised they were still running it! The only things open in entire front of the park at that time were GK, MaxAir and the racing horses. It was like GK and MaxAir were going to run no matter what. Can't say either ride was good....but hey, only a handful of times can we turn them both into water rides so why not :)
Side note: MaxAir was such a cold and hilarious ride in the rain, listening to the painful screams.... I was laughing so hard I was crying by the time it was over.
If you bring some extra clothes, have a good attitude, and plan to be wet/cold for a little while, I'd say go for it in the rain if things are open. Makes for a totally different ride!!
Have fun!
It's quite fun to ride in the rain at times, (when it's warm out) never done gatekeeper though in it, but we did ride WT in the rain once, and sat in the back row, and we stayed dry the whole time, even though it was pouring :)
But yeah, I'd say go in the rain, as it may stop at periods, and that's when people leave, so the lines get emptier.
I try to avoid Columbus day weekend even in any weather, too crowded for my taste :( but we are going the 19th and 20th.
