Anybody receive their Season Pass yet?

Hey all,

I was just curious if anyone received their season pass via mail-in renewal yet?

If not, when does everyone expect to receive them?

Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.

I haven't gotten mine yet either and normally I already have them in my hands before Christmas, so I don't know what is going on.

I do know that Cedar Point was not going to start processing passes until January 1 this season.

I also seem to remember something printed on the renewal about not sending in the form until January 1st. (I could be wrong though).

If I remember correctly, it usually takes 4-6 weeks. This is week 5 for me, Just thought I would ask.

I'm just going to wait till they open it up in Sandusky so I can drive up a few days before opening and get it.

I'm curious if they even finalized everything yet. There have been so many changes with Paramount parks and parking and all that crap that I have to imagine that's why passes aren't arriving for people yet.

If I bought the pass online during the fall discount period, and it's the first time ever holding a season pass, I need to take the paperwork I have to the pass office the first time I go for the season, correct?

Or you can take them to the season pass center when it opens in April. I have to do the same thing.

If you are getting the pass at the park. It is a very good idea to get it in april before the park opens. There is a long line (sometimes 3 hours) on opening day.

One year we even made the mistake of going the day before opening and we still waited a couple of hours. We always go in april now. Last year when we went there was only a few families there getting passes.

Does anybody know if we are going to be able to upgrade to the better parking pass in april? I bought the CP pass before they announced the ohio pass.

Thanks, Mike

I mailed in my extra $25 when I sent in my Season Pass renewal, and I got back the All-Ohio parking certificate. So I would guess you'll still be able to upgrade in April.

Also, it looks like the All Ohio pass is back online for purchase. The Buy Now button wasn't there a couple of weeks ago. It also looks like they've gone with the Paramount parks online ticketing system rather than Cygnus (the former online ticketing system).

The All Ohio parking pass still isn't available on Kings Island's website however.

It also seems as though they are adopting the pass without the picture on it like the Paramount parks have used.

The pic is stored in the computer system and comes up on the screen when scanned.

As far as I know, that's how it's been for at least the last 7 years.

That would be interesting if they adopted the Paramount picture-less passes. As someone who has worked in admissions, I can think of a lot of reasons why I would hate that system.

Either that's the case or they didn't have the pictures of the old CF passes loaded in the new sales system they're using.

I would guess they're adopting the Paramount system to stop some fraud. The picture on the pass can't get worn and distorted if there isn't one.

Perfect example right here.
I love showing that picture. I feel it's enough motivation, for someone getting a pass, to go in April.:)

I have never seen a pass that had a worn or distorted picture. Maybe slightly faded, but still easy enough to make out. The one advantage I could see with the computer screen is that the picture would probably be pretty big. I still see a lot of disadvantages to the system though.

I always liked having my picture on the pass though. You have no idea how many times it's been accepted as photo ID when I don't feel like digging out my driver's license. :)

Was that at all the Paramount parks? Or something new?
