Any Rides You Have Not or Will Not Ride?

CP rush's avatar

Are there any rides at CP that you have not ridden for any reason? I know for example that I have not ridden DT, gemini, or some of the other thrill rides just because whenever I go to the park I usually try to ride my favorites (the most thrilling coasters). I want to dedicate just one day this season to riding everything I haven't gotten to.

I will not ride Mantis anymore unless i have to. I have a bad knee and it hurts really bad once the ride is over. I know for a fact i have not been on the antique cars by raptor.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

Won't ride Thunder Canyon anymore. It has been more than 10 years. I decided if I want to bathe in lake sludge and filth, I'll go to the beach.

Just your usual come and go poster. One week I am here, then I disappear for a while.

Rides I have ridden but will not in the future:

1. Chaos--The only rise that has made me feel sick.

2. Mantis--Too hard on my knees.

3. Thunder Canyon--I hate the feeling of wet underwear.

4. Snake River Falls--See above.

5. Wicked Twister--I don't go on roller coasters without a lift hill.

6. Top Thrill Dragster--Same as #5.

7. Rides in Kinddieland--I'm too big. :)

^^I hear you on the Mantis, my knee got hurt a few years ago and besides running, that ride is the only thing that makes it act up. I have not ridden power tower, im not sure why. I didn't even ride max air or skyhawk until my last visit of the 2008 season

There are 44 rides an adult can ride without small children, and I plan on hitting all of them this year. I am working on a plan to ride all 44 in a single visit. :)

Some non-cedar point fans in my work don't think its possible. But they aren't me.

I consider power tower up/down two separate rides, and I don't think I will ride the turnpike cars, too small. But the Antique and Cadilac cars are a go.Camp Snoopy is out, except I must ride Tilt-a-whirl, and that's it.

To Summerize, I will not ride Turnpike Cars, or the Kids rides. :)

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

I haven't ridden Mantus yet because I hear so many people having problems with thier legs after getting off that coaster. I also don't know if I would fit since I weigh 240 pounds and have a rather large stomach.

A friend of mine rode Mantus and said it was like playing DDR non stop for a while and he just had to sit down after the ride was over.

I'll only ride Snake River Falls or Thunder Canyon if I'm so darn hot that I can't cool down. Usually I go in the beginning and late in the season to avoid overheating, I don't do well in the sun.

I can't ride Wicked Twister because the harness doesn't fit my midsection. Also, I'm afraid of the Magnum because I remember the first year it opened I was on that lift hill and I think the anticipation of going over the hill got to me it was hard for me to breathe, I screamed the whole way and I'm sure that I annoyed some people in front of me because I'm a loud screamer.

I was wanting to go on MaxAir last summer but that ride was down most of the year. This year I'm trying for that one though and Skyhawk is my favorite flat ride.

I have yet to ride Woodstock Express but hope to this summer with my nephew and I have not got on Skyhawk do to ridiculously long lines the last time I was there (07 :( ).
I havn't ridden Mantis in years because I just don't like it. A couple of times I thought about giving it another shot but the line was too long and I don't get to CP very often so I use my time sparingly.
It would probably take a really hot day, short line, spare set of clothes, and a few beers to get me in the mood for Snake River Falls or Thunder Canyon.

You know, you don't need a kid to ride Woodstock Express.

As far as Mantis goes, it's not my knees that get hammered . . .

CCMR, Troika and Turnpike cars are all ones I've ridden and won't again. CCMR and Turnpike because I don't fit and Troika because it just doesn't feel safe.

The only exception to CCMR will be when I have kids and they are old enough to ride. Then I will ride with them.

Other than that, there's nothing I "won't" ride, but things like Thunder Canyon and SRF I usually don't because its cold in early-mid May and they are closed in the fall.

MaXair-makes me sick.

Mantis-Eh, if someone else wants to ride I will, but I'm not going to want to go on it unless that

Corkscrew-Hate it! Way too rough!

Power Tower-Also makes me sick

BTW, maybe about 30% of the time, you don't get wet on TC. Sometimes you even only get splased. I like TC way better than SRF, because you have a chance of not getting wet.

Mantis- I used to like it, but now it's too painful on my headbanging, and legs.

Snake river- I shove my clothes in a locker and ride it in my bathing suit, same with thunder canyon. No problem there. I still ride them, tho.

Woodstock- legs too long

Jr. gem- only with kids

Kiddie rides- too big (long)

Whats with people not riding TTD/WT because they don't have lift hills?

I used that reasoning to get my friend to ride it back in the early 90's. The one time I had been on it, I didn't get wet, so I told him that.

I think we hit EVERY SINGLE WATERFALL when we rode it. He wasn't too pleased.

Its not "people", its one guy. His choice. His loss, but still his choice.

I've ridden everything that I am able to ride in the park. It usually depends who I'm with to see what I ride. I'm always up for anything so I usually let other people choose what they want.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I have ridden almost everything except for the kiddie rides. I don't think I want to go onto Jr. Gemini again unless it's for ERT at CoasterMania again this year.

Your mom is to fat to ride TTD.'s avatar

CCMR- I'm kicked off for being to tall.

Will not ride Chaos because it looks sickening.

Will not ride Mantis unless a lady friend wants too, then I'm dragged on it. After that I almost need dragged off of it!

Not sure why the lack of love for Chaos, its one of the best flat rides out there. My only complaint with the CP model is the manual harness release and 1 person operation. If they are going manual, fine, but add at least a second person to make loading and, more importantly, unloading quicker. If you want to stick with 1 person, fix the electronic release. Maybe Dave can fill me in on why they switched the manual release (failure somewhere for which that is the fix).

I will ride any ride in the park except the spinning flats. I hate spinning (except Maxair) I once went on the lasoe ride at Conneaut and I had a headache for days and still felt as if I was spinning the whole ride home. I love CP's coasters, but the spin rides are just too much. I'm 15yrs old and I hate them. Maybe I just never try them because I'm afraid of the headache/sickness or maybe that the coasters overshadow them.

Never been on:

Spinning Flats (except: Maxair and the yoyo)

PT drop side

Wildcat(closed when I always go)

Kiddy rides (except Woodstock Express)

I have learned to love Mantis. Just let your body relax to standing (don't hesitate I learned that fast) and it will be great.

Visual Scan!
First Top Thrill Dragster train of 2011!
Rollbacks: 1st Triple Rollback of 2009!

Ocean Motion-Had a bad experience on one of its brothers as a kid, only ride that makes me sick.

Thunder Canyon/Snake River Falls-If I want to ride those rides, the lines are too long and really I would just rather high tale it to Soak City and the Raging River.

Turnpike-Im way too tall for this ride.

Clearfortakeoff, I guess I wasn't making myself clear.

If you had read my sentence correctly, you would have seen that I said it's not my knees. But I like how you assumed I wasn't riding the roller coaster correctly. Thanks, dude.

What I really was talking about, which I thought could have been inferred by most readers, was nads. My nads, to be specific. Man jewels. Every time I've ridden Mantis, my manhood takes a beating. If I stand up straight with legs straight and feet planted flat on the car floor, as the rules and ride ops explain, invariably my testes are tortured. Is that clear enough?
