Any Reservation Clerks Out There?

Just got the job 2 days ago :) I wanna meet some people i'll be working with!!

Hey , im charde, who hired you? Me and a few others i know will be coming bsck, but you will love it, We sit in cubicles and makes reservations, sometimes we will be extra busy especially on mondays, and make sure you buy a cp sweater of some sort,which will be taken out of your check, because that office gets really really cold, the ac stays on all day, but trust me, i would rather be in ac, than to stand out in the sun all day.lol, and we get payed $ 0.15 above minimum wage, hours are great if that what you are looking for, no less than 45 hours, and its easy to learn the cost of rooms, so you will be fine, i hope you have a good time this summer.

I start at reservations tomorrow. Interested in learning the system. Can't wait to get this season started.

I was hired by Jade! I'm very excited to get started. A little nervous, but @Charde, did you say no less than 45 hours... a week? that sounds great :) I need money! how many days a week does a reservation clerk normally work?

you are going to love jade, she is very sweet and she can bake.lol and yes, especially if you are really good when talking to customers, by the middle of the season, you wont get less than 45 hours. and we work 6 days a week, it was only one time that we got two days off out of the week and that was toward the end of the season, there are two shift 9-3 or 3-10, i like working late most of the time because you get to go to the park or go shopping or something early but thats me, but i promise you will love it

Just got hired today as a reservation clerk :) This will be my first year at the point, I process in May 22nd and leave August 19th. I'm happy that there seems to be a lot of hours in the department, I'm going to look to work as many as possible. I'll be looking for a roommate too, so anyone can message me/add my facebook (facebook.com/cquindlen) about that as well.

Since you were already hired do you know who I should call about the status of my app. No one has called or emailed me and I applied January 2nd so I am getting kid of nervous. I applied with anything in guest accomidations as my third job choice. Reservation clerk sounds pretty sweet any information would great.

call cedar point and ask them to connect you to human resources, or the reservations office,but you said guest accommodations was your third choice, so they may have not gotten to you yet, they always look at your first choice and if they dont like it they will pass you on to the second and/or third choice, but it takes time.

I got hired February 6. I wont be up there until June 11, thats when i get to check in.. and ill be up there tell October 31. Ill be living up there, who else will be too?

Thanks. Yeah, I knew my first choice was a long shot (Bank teller) and my application has went absolutely no where. It just says: Your application is now available for review by our hiring managers... so I guess I will call and talk to someone in accounting or whatever first then try guest accommodations (I cannot remember my second choice). I just really want a job with good hours.
