Yeah and many kids are afraid of opening there closet because they have seen movies with a load of crap. I think it could affect the people that are on the border of riding a coaster for the first time or saying no because of what they have seen in the movies.
But it's a minority mainly because this will have no affect on people that have been on coasters before. Maybe a little thing in the back of your head might pop up and scare you, but thats all apart of the fun. :)

101 on Magnum and counting...
I am thinking the only people who may be affected by the movie would be younger kids. Not sure of the rating of FD 3 but would assume not many younger kids would be seeing it?
There was a movie several years ago called "Roller Coaster" about some loonatic who placed a bomb on a coaster. VERY far fetched NO way would anyone beable to get away with what he did.
I am sure no one balked at riding a coaster after that movie!!
As a former (Raptor :)) ride op I can tell you the safety standards built into EVERY ride explains why there are very few accidents vs. the number of riders these rides handle on a daily basis.

Lifetime Raptor flights: 1077 :)
It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
I saw a preview for it tonight when I saw Just Friends (quality funny movie). I will probably see it when it comes out, but it looks like New Line Cinemas have gone a bit too far.
EDIT: I believe it was called Screamer while at Boblo, but is now called Corkscrew at Playland amusement park in British Columbia.

I really hope this doesn't get a PG-13 rating. Has to be R or it won't be as good. *** Edited 12/17/2005 2:13:00 AM UTC by Rapter Rocks!***
