Any new news on theming?

Transfer tracks are all lit up now and all the trains have been transfered...Maybe they'll be adding the theming tonight. Or maybe not.

As of fri. the trains were sitting on the track in the stations getting the metal attachments that hold the fin and wheels on attached again. But, still no theming on trains as of Sat. though. Another thing is that the yellow train was tested on Fri., but on Sat. it was off on the transfer track without the nose cone

Can anyone confirm if the nose cone is back on today or if the nose cone is still gone or if they;re even running the yellow train? On a side note, whats up with the yellow train? From what I've heard its been run the least and it had that "vacation" awhile back and now they're taking the nose cone off? Maybe the whole train is messed up.

Yes, I can confirm that the nose cone is either on or off. What does it matter? The yellow train is fine, it is not messed up. On the other hand, I watched them put the black parts onto the back of the train, which dismisses the added capacity, however, I have yet to see the tires back..

All of the train noses were modified because the shell actually touched the orange bumper. Naturally if you hit the bumper (certainly a possibility when moving trains around manually) the bumper would compress and damage the shell. Now the shell covers the bumper but doesn't touch it, allowing the bumper to compress as needed.

(Update) june 20

I was at the park yesterday and it does look like they have add more metal then last time to the back of the train so it does look like the theaming is coming back. If you go to the little gate by the hydrolic building that saids emplyees only and look though a hole you can see the engine spoiler and everthing else. The only thing I can not see is tires. I also saw yesterday that the speed rader gun and sign have returned and are working again. I hope you enjoyed that update.

Rides on Top Thrill Dragster as of 6/11/03 = 17 :)

Tickets for opening day 45 dollars
Buying a hotdog on the midway 3 dollars
buying a milli hat 20 dollars
Going opening day and ride
Top Thrill Dragster for the first time priceless

Speaking of the radar...yesterday it was consistently reading 124 or 125mph. The trip over the top of the hill did seem slightly faster...but that could have just been my mind imagining it.

I think they're slowly going to add more weight to the trains, testing how far they can go. Then we might see a lighter version of the engines and tires go back on. Or at least that's why I hope for.

When I talked to a ride op. on Wednesday he said that the extra weight on the back on the train(the theming) caused excess rattling which caused nuts, bolts, and other things to become loose. This was the reason of the tire falling off the train. We are all lucky that the tire was the only thing that came loose. Other, more serious, things could have come off too.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Are your ready for some speed? We've got 120 miles per hour! Are you ready to get vertical? We've got 420 feet. Are you ready for the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world?! ARE YOU READY FOR TOP THRILL DRAGSTER?!?
Which is why, if it comes back I wouldn't be surprised if they make it one solid part of the train instead of it being an extra piece, they can take off with just a little bit of work.

Which is probably why, they'll test to see how much weight they can put on the back, and see what all they can put back on.

Looking at camera 2 this morning, it looks like they have placed a small building with a checkered roof next to the dragster on the ground with a sign in front of it. Does any one know what this is?

What weight? Those engines were mostly fiberglass from my understanding. The only steel was to hold the tires on, and those were the heavy part.
