A little nervous about my new job at Cp. Any advice to calm my nerves about working at games?

Relax - games is a great time. At leat it was 17 years ago (wow- i didn't realize it was that long) -the rest of my advice is probably outdated.
One last thing -Never turn your back at "break-a-plate".
There's really nothing to worry about. You'll likely have a lot of guest interaction, which can be fun if you make it fun.
oh.. and don't let this happen... ;)

Make sure you look for a nametag if some stranger comes up to 'take over'. Don't need another $1000+ theft again.

Aw Lindsey I am sure you are a sweet girl, but please, it's "advice" and "calm."
Was that really necessary?
drink A LOT of H20. If you get lucky, there's a REALLY COLD watter fountain by Gemini midway.

Yes. She will be representing Cedar Point to many, many people and it scares me when someone says "adive" not once, but twice. No harm done.
Oh, and watch the Simpsons episode "Bart Carny" for other helpful tips on how to run a game. :)

Another pirce of advice: The nurses in first aid told me not to just drink water, but also Gatorade because it replaces the salts you loose by sweating. The main Cafe up near wardrobe, Frontier Break area, and both first aid station all have Gatorade. PLUS, you can get ice water from ANY fixed location food stand.
You can easily drink a gallon or more of fluids a day, especially when it's 90+ out and humidity is around 90-100%.
Another tip: Have a hat and/or sunglasses, and sunscreen. 30 SPF is really best.

Im comin out of hibernation for this one....
As a games worker last year, the best advice i can give you is to yell a lot. They really like it when you leave at the end of the night with no voice because you've been yelling for guests to play all day. Show up to work on time everyday so you can get the employee water bottle and then freeze it every night so its cold all the next day. And if your going out to millennium half-court or the ladder make sure you've got sunscreen!
I'll be sure to look for a new face with a Lindsey tag on opening day!

don't bother bringing a hat, because if you wear one it'll have to be a CP one that you buy from wardrobe.
