any love for newbies?

This summer will be my first year working at CP. I live all the way in Oregon and was wondering if anyone has any advice for me?
Prepare for the summer of a lifetime...

Welcome to the family...

Thanks for the welcome! I am going to be working as a food host at the wagons/ specialty carts. Yippeee. I have no idea where exactly, but I am guessing I will find out later. I am really excited, b/c I havent been to CP since I was 4 yrs old!!!!
I hate newbies... oh wait, nevermind.
just have fun with it, don't wear your tag around your kneck. go where ever you want-explore the point. remember you have a few other parks you can enjoy because you work at cedar point! don't trust any of the boys up here, most of us are dogs-and if u want time off like a week or two ask now-this is the best time to ask-and when you watch this foods video i am in it-it is a gas!

By doing a search for "advice" in the Employee Lounge, I came up with a list of the following topics which you might find useful to read. A lot of questions you have may have already been asked here by someone else who is new. (If you're looking for information about your particular location or department, you might want to do a search for that).

"Helpful Hints for First-Year Peeps"
"Shopping for Dorm Items!"
"Advice"
"...this topic AGAIN"
"Uniforms!"
"What goes on after hours?"
"Processing [in]"

I hope that these topics help you. You can ask questions in any of them if you don't find all the information you're looking for on that subject. By the way, are you driving, flying, or coming by Amtrak?

While we're on the topic of employee dress, it's always fun on a late-night trip to Meijer to see all the employees hustling into the store in various states of after-work dishabille -- very interesting combinations of "civilian wear" and uniforms! (Jean skirt and Camp Snoopy blouse, anyone? ^_^)
