I'm going to Cedar Point sometime in early August (4th - 15th) and I was wondering if there are any discounts during that time of any sort? I have my getaway guide with the coupons and I always buy my tickets at Meijer (but I think the discount is the same as the coupons in the Guide, it's just easier to already have your tickets before going in the park). Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

This has been brought up quite a few times in the past month or two. What type of discounts do you want?
This might be a unique idea but maybe there could be a topic like the "How crowded will the park be on <any given date>" where we all could put the latest deals on: accommodations, tickets, food, etc. Just a thought and a suggestion.

Well I know they always have special discounts on tickets during certain dates, I just wasn't sure if anything was announced for August yet.

Well, the discounts that the Point gives out aren't random; they correlate to days that they would otherwise have trouble filling the park. Because you're planning to visit during the time that the park is the busiest, I wouldn't hold your breath for an official park discount.
The is a AAA office on rt. 250 that sell tickets (to AAA members, of course) for $37. In and around Sandusky, that's the best deal on stand-alone tickets I've found.
Meijer tickets vary in price by location. Some of the more distant stores sell tickets for as little as 25-30 bucks, but the Sandusky location seems to hold steady at 40.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
