Well, like many other chains, these are probably independently operated and quality can vary from one location to another.

Very true. The differences are alarming: here
Does anyone know where the train tracks are located in proximity to the hotels?
Wow, $55 last week was a pretty good deal.

Why do you say that? on the map it shows that it's only 3 miles from the park. I stayed at the Comfort Inn (listed a little lower) two weeks ago and it was only about a 10 min drive to the parking lot. It's listed as 5 miles away on the same road.
I have stayed at the Hoawrd Johnson Express on 250 near Perkins Ave. serveral times. I was simply looking for (and found) a place to sleep for cheap. Free continental breakfast, working A/C, small outdoor pool (although I didn't get in), 1 miles from the CP causeway and in the $49 to $69 range each time I was there. No complaints. If I'm thinking correctly, it may be the closest hotel to CP on 250.

I'm at the HJ on Cleveland. My expectations aren't very high. This may be the only time I stay there. I will let everyone know after I get home.

Kyle- I misread your original post. I thought you said IN Milan as in the city and not ON Milan as in the road. My bad.
No problem Ralph. I thought maybe there was some crazy construction I wasn't aware of, LOL.
I still haven't booked yet. The weather forecasts are all so 50/50 right now. Chances are I'll book, regardless, but it'd be nice to see the forecast clear up a little.
After this past weekend I can definitely recommend Rivers Edge Inn in Huron. It's about 15 minutes from the park, but the rooms are on par with Breakers Express. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a decent continental breakfast. I only paid $70 a night for Friday and Saturday.
Rodeway Inn on Milan was adequate. It was only $65 for a King bed and was quite, no outside traffic or train or anything. If they stay so cheap (especially for a King bed) I'll stay there again, for sure.
So, the HoJo on Cleveland was better than I was expecting. Free Wi-Fi, Decent continental breakfast, clean room, good AC. I'd have to say my biggest disapointment was that they didn't make my bed. Not a deal breaker though.
