My buddy Cody has worked SKY RIDE last year and is working it again this year. He told me this ride is the way to go and a summer job at cedar point is something I'll never forget!!! ANY ADVICE FOR A NEWBIE???? I process in on May 18.... can't wait!
Oh you won't ever forget it. Best summer I've had yet. It's pretty amazing.
I've never worked Sky Ride, however:
1) Sleep
2) Eat well
3) Be responsible
4) Have fun ... it's important to remember this.

Ben, I think the correct way to phase it is:
"CP employees having fun? That would be contagious to the guests and Cedar Point won't have that!"
Tell Cody that Dustin says Hi!
Basically, if you try to stay polite while catching upwards of 800 lbs of cabins, you should do fine at Sky Ride!

I use to fill in at Skyride last year when they were short, and let me tell you, it is the best upperbody workout ever. There are four positions: Catch, unload, load and Trip. Catch is the workout because you will be literally catching cabins as they come into the station, and some of them will be VERY heavy ;).
The one thing that annoyed me the most would probably be when guests take their time and don't realize that the ride doesn't stop to wait for them. As long as you have patience and make the best of it, you'll have an amazing summer. Have fun working skyride!!!

Prepare to get BUFF!! I worked there for one week and my chest and biceps were like whoa... I can't even imagine what an entire summer would do.
Oh and one more thing, 99!
