Another MS rollback?

Why don't they rebuild it like they did with the cyclone to the comet at Crystal Beach
jwhoogs---That's a good idea. Recycle, reconfigure. I'd like to see the Mean Streak transofrmed into an awesome ride. Kind of ironic that Cedar Fair also owns the Shivering Timbers. I love that coaster. #1 wood in my opinion.

Rideman-- you are right on about the trains. It doesn't make sense to me to have those kind of hard form-fitted seats... look at the classic woodies out there, with the big PADDED upholstered bench seats. That would make it so much more tolerable. It doesn't make sense to me to not have thick padding when you are supposed to be so concerned with rider's comfort and safety.

I agree the gp is sold on gimmics. But that's all in the marketing.........I could give some examples of what I mean....but that would be going waaaayyyy of on a tangent.

Well, the only thing I think they can do is restructure the first drop, so that it isn't as high, to reduce speed, so they wouldnt have to use trims on the first drop. Sure the degree of drop wouldnt be nearly as steep, but then the ride wouldn't have to be trimed if there was less speed. Anyways, I know that will never happen, but I just felt like saying it.

My Suggestion: To tear down Mean Streak and build a CCI.

That's pointless, though. The whole thing that everyone is complaining about is that the trims slow down the ride. Why would they rebuild the whole first hill to do exactly what the trims do?

5 admissions so far and looking forward to many more!

Recycle the wood. Contract CCI. Simple, painless, but costly.
