This was probably my best coaster season ever:
11 Trips to CP (3 Soak City Trips, 2 Halloweekends Trips)
5 Trips to KI (1 Boomerang Bay Trip, 2 Halloween Haunt Trips)
6.5 Days at Disney World
2.5 Days at Universal Orlando
1 Day at Sea World Orlando
1 Day at Busch Gardens Africa
So thats 27 days at a park, and used my Maxx+ Pass 19 times. What a great, great season. As for those of you that dont live near a park, I feel your pain because I was once like you. This was my first time less then 2 hours away from an amusement park (1.25 hours) and it really was a blast, cant wait till next year. T-minus 5 months, 2 weeks and 5 days until my 08 season starts @ KI (and 6 months, 1 week and 5 days until CP opens.)

^I've spent the last 9 months trying to figure out what your name meant, and gosh do I feel stupid. I kept thinking it must have something to do with CP. But, I couldn't pinpoint it! Now, I feel dumb. Good Grief!
Lol, welcome to the "blonde" hair club of America, where I'm not just a member...I'm the president. ;) (You may be too young to get that)
FYI: the signature at present is from the Dickens classic "Tale of Two Cities". It is an allegory for autumn in Ohio for me. The best of times is that the weather is so nice & the colors so beautiful, yet things are dying to create such vivid color & winter is looming around the corner thus the worst of times.
Next issue of Deep Thoughts by Good Grief will discuss the meaning of life & cheese on sticks.

^^^A very good observation, Good Grief, I've always felt that way about fall. I love the colors, but hate the fact that everything is dying (in a sense), and that winter is just around the corner.
And the whole member/president thing had me rolling...haven't thought of that in years.
As far as the depression for me...I live about 8 hours away from CP, so I too find it hard to make it up more than once or twice in a year. Most of the time my closing weekend depression sets in on the drive back to Tennessee.

480 miles for me, and it is part of the fun, but money doesn't grow on trees, and neither does vacation time from work... :(
Sorry....maybe you drive faster.Of course money does matter especially with the price of gas.As I am retired and my wife self employed, the days off dont matter a lot, except when she takes days off, there is no "vacation pay".
The 8 hours includes our stops to eat,and other needs.:)
At the point when we get to CP after 8 hours in the car, another hour would be that proverbial straw,so you have my sympathy.
I no longer get depressed over the park closing. I just get depressed about having to say goodbye to all the friends I worked with every year. Not being able to scare people for 11 months is also fairly upsetting.... :)
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
