I've spent a lot of time in bars and restaurants that serve beer, and I can't say I've ever been able to smell it. In fact, I was in a BWW today with 30 beers on tap, and couldn't smell it.

I do love the smell of a good quality craft brew, but generally the beer and my nose need to be less than 6 inches apart for me to notice. Although I am familiar with the smell you get when you're around copious amounts of crappy (insert a major brand here) Lite beer, particularly if it's been spilled in more than a few spots, so perhaps that's the smell Candy Man is thinking of?
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I saw a guy at Kings Island in line for Diamondback and he was really drunk and kept giving everyone high fives, but since we were in the line it ended up just being the same people every time they came back around lol. He didn't seem to notice.
But to answer your question globmonster, he had his beer in a cup. Ok he had seven cups stacked up; but that's neither here nor there haha
