Age requirements

I was looking around on the Cedar Point website and it said that you must be 14 to work there. Then when I looked at the jobs, the youngest age requirement was 16, at least that I saw. I'm wondering what jobs, if any, a 14 year old could do.

14 year olds can work in games, merchandise and some positions in foods

how old to you have to be to help with the roller coasters.

To be a ride host, you need to be at least 18 years old. Safety is a big concern with rides so there are other requirements, such as you have to drop clean, be alert at all times, and understand the serious nature of the job.

Not to mention the state legal age requirements.. and I'm sure the insurance industry had something to do with it..

You know the law, "you must be 18 years of age to operate this equiptment" How much heavier of equiptement do you get than a Coaster? If you make a wrong move, especially on WT, someone could end up very hurt, another reason for the 18 rule

It's not so much heavey equiptment also. Minors are also not allowed to operating slicing equiptment in foods also.

Signs in every foods place that has a slicer reminding the sups of this.

The law only requires you be 16 to operate rides. CP has the 18 policy (ot I think 17 and grad from high school).

no, you can be 17 and have a diploma from highschool and that will let you live on point but you have to be 18 to work coasters.

It's 18+ to run the biggest part of the rides, but if someone is 17 and out of high school they will put them on a little ride like the train. And I know at Six Flags, the platform hosts can be 16 but the actual operators have to be 18. As for PKI I know it's kind of like Cedar Point as to who runs what. Most of the operators I've seen there looked to be over the age of 18 with the exception of the host running the elevator for the Effiel Tower looked to be about 16.
