After Hours Riding

When the park has already closed are you still able to wait for the front seat or do they start to assign you seats?
It's not really a time thing I think.

They only send out a certain amount of trains. So once they get close to the end they'll make you get out of the front line to fill up the empty seats.

If it's really late at night you're better off just to take a normal seat.

I did Dragster once last year on a Sunday night (closing time 11 p.m.) at about 1:30 a.m. Due to "technical problems" (how unusual), they kept warning people in line that there was no guarantee of riding, but my wife and I were hellbent on seeing in through. (OK, I was hellbent, she was along for the ride [home]). When we got on a train, we were rolled out and then rolled back in to the station and ordered off the train. We then got reloaded and off we went. When were were done (17 second later or whatever the ride time is), they had to off-load us manually just short of the usual off-load area. Very strange. But worth it in my view (my wife had other thoughts about the whole thing. lol).

As we were leaving, there were vehicles all over the main midway, cleaning up and getting ready for the next day etc. Oh, how I love those late, late night scenes.

As for late rides on other coasters, once in July 2001, they kept Raptor open until midnight on an 11 p.m. closing night. It was the same night that a power outage affected MF and Mantis. (A train on MF was stuck on the hill just a little out of the station for a while). I rode Raptor about five times before deciding to quit. My noggin started to ache a bit. But it was an excellent time nonetheless.

I really adore the Point, but jeez, I wish they hadn't done whatever they did in response to the Six Flags New England situation.

I still have no TTD rollbacks. As it stands, I may never get one. What a bummer. *** Edited 5/20/2004 8:25:42 AM UTC by Boatman***
