Advice on my upcoming trip :)

Hey all, been reading all I can before my trip on Thursday with my wife this week to Cleveland/Sandusky from Orlando and had some questions.

As of right now, there's a 40% chance of showers on Friday. The plan was to go all day Friday and try to knock all of the coasters/rides out on Friday. Saturday has a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms though. Should we plan to switch to go on Saturday instead? I know it's all a crap shoot... when it rains does it rain all day or is it off and on (just as the rides will be)?

We are now debating since we fly into Cleveland on Thursday @ 1:22 pm, if we rush over to Sandusky after we land and try to do an evening of the Starlight tickets (for 4 pm - 8 pm...) since it is supposed to be sunny and pretty clear on Thursday. Will that help to fend off against any bad weather we might hit on Friday? Or am I being overly paranoid?

Our entire trip is centered around Cedar Point and we fly in Thursday like I said and fly out Sunday @ 2:46 pm out of Cleveland. We were hoping on Saturday to go to Put-in-Bay (or the day we aren't going to go to Cedar Point). Any other recommendations on what to do on whatever remaining time we have? :)

With the way weather works around Lake Erie, it's pretty rare to get a full day rain out. Generally it'll either be scattered rain/storms, or it'll last a couple of hours and then pass. Going on Thursday evening would be a good idea if you're concerned about getting everything in though, as the coasters do (mostly) shut down in the rain.

Thank you for the advice! Realistically... on a Thursday evening from 4 pm - 8 pm, how many rides can be done anyways? If there are 20 minute lines... maybe we can knock out 6-8 rides?

I'd say that's probably pretty realistic. Depending on what you ride, you're pretty likely to even find some walk ons, so it could be higher than that. This time of year much of the crowd consists of school kids on field trips, and they usually start to clear out around 4 or 5 in the afternoon.
