I saw Soak City from Magnum before I had ever heard there WAS a Soak City. Anyone who rides Maggie or Gemini is going to know Challenge Park is there...and a whole lot of people ride Maggie and Gemini.
Between hotel guests and employees Challenge Park does pretty well. If you are only staying for a day I think it is valid to consider whether or not you would really leave the park in order to participate in any of those upcharge attractions. Most people would have a hard time getting on all of the coasters in a single day.
And, you can make a pretty good argument that you don't want to inundate Challenge Park with people. If you do that then the hotel guests are going to be pretty upset. I have no idea what the maximum capacity for C.P. is but I've been in there on employee nights and the place is packed to the point of not being any fun.
If Cedar Fair felt like they could squeeze more revenue out of that place and do it in a way that didn't diminish the experience for everyone...you can be sure they would have done so by now.
"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality."

I know this is off topic, about another park and all, but I was driving in west virginia on vacation with my boyfriend on the highway and heard this very odd Kennywood radio commericial. It went like this, this guy was saying his opinion on the park, and it had all these random people laughing in the background. The guy was talking about how he liked to follow other people around the park, and that the other people he was really into were wearing hats that all looked the same and he loved to follow them around. At first, I had no idea what the heck was on the radio, until at the very end, they said: "come to kennywood!, near pittsburgh...blah blah blah.." We both were laughing really hard the whole time driving.
Yeah, the "American tradition" approach will work really well in Ontario.

Yeah, ask Canadians if they consider themselves "American." Don't be naive.

Jeff is right. The American frontier theme of the back of the park is nice, and the red white and blue near Skyhawk looks good but I don't want to hear "American Tradition" as a new slogan. Hearing "Proud to be an American" blasting through the park all day is bad enough.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
