Advertising/Commericials??

Has anyone seen any commercials on Television, or Billboards for this year yet?

It's less than a week before opening, and I have not seen any advertising in the Toledo Area on Television (except maybe a mini news report showing Max-Air, saying they are gearing up for the season)

There are no Billboards, in my driving area, that have come to my attention.

What have you seen?

Nothing... I dont remember last year seeing a commercial til after the park was open... i may be wrong though.

I saw a Maverick commercial during American Idol last week, completely caught me off gaurd. I saved it to the Tivo, then accidently deleted it.

I also saw the Maverick commercial in Toledo last week. It got me pretty excited for the park to open.

I've seen that Maverick commercial at least three times already.

Every time, I run over to the TV and turn up the volume. :)

There's a big Maverick billboard near the Duty Free on the US side of the Ambassador Bridge.

^Was it put up within the last week?

My sister said she saw it on UPN... er... CW, a few days ago. Still have yet to see one myself.

Yupp, its been up for a couple weeks I believe.

I heard a radio ad this afternoon on WQMX out of Akron. The radio ad sounds better than the TV ad I saw. Can't wait to hear and see more.

How freaky... I had NOT seen one when I opened this thread all of 2 minutes ago. Then, as I went back to the main board, I looked over, and it was the Maverick commericial playing on ABC Family. Sweet! It looks AWESOME with the turns and banks, and twists, and.... -drools-

I have to drive past a billboard with Maverick all over it every day on my way home from work at 8 mile and the Southfield freeway. It sure is making the wait seem much longer having to see it every day. :(

Every time I see "8 mile" I want to go dye my hair blond and try to rap. ;)

On a side note I actually drive past the trailer park they used in the movie. It really messed up my drive to work in the morning, police all over the place blocking stuff off, what a pain in the arse.

Woke up this morning, hoping to see a commercial, just like every morning last year, 5-7 minutes before 7:00am, and no commercial.

Nothing at YouTube for 2007, but they do have a 1990's Disaster Transport commercial. :) Pretty lame.

I'm assuming they'll hold off on the Maverick commercials for now seeing as it won't be open when people go.

Cedar Point should hire the agency who does Alton Tower's adverts. Of all the park ads I've seen, they have the coolest.

i saw a non-maverick related commercial, yesterday... it was pretty cool. It showed a bunch of rides and normal ride on stuff...

Finally!!!

Last Night - Between 9:00pm and 10:00pm

I saw 3 Cedar Point Commercials

1st one - Snoopy "Ride On" - Old generic, kids one with some of the rides not even Cedar Point's Rides

2nd one - Maverick Prospector, Pretty Cool

3rd one - Count up to 17 coasters, "If you lost count that's 17 coasters, more than anywhere on the planet" - Loved that one

2 days before opening, I finally seen some Commercials!!!! :)
