A very depressing sight at Cedar Point!

Jeff, the "other forum" calls him ****  Kinzel.  It's pretty sad that it has come to that but...whatever.

As for the original post, relax Just Coasting!  We all get ribbed for goofy things we say sometimes.  You just came off as being so serious and had that "hey guys, look what I discovered" mentality that it was hard not to tease.

Not every part of the park should be drawing droves of people.  I like the Oceana area for that very reason.  If I want to relax a bit that is a great place to go.  That said, I agree that development is just a matter of time for this location and I will have to find another quiet spot.  Just don't close the fry stand!!!!!!!

Okay, I totally agree with Just Coasting. I can respect his opinions, I too think this part needs a makeup. Cedar Point is the best at everything they do but we all have our opinions. But lets calm down on the bashing okay? We can save Jeff some time money an space .

True that area needs work, but isn't it a nice escape from the main midway or the MF/Mantis midway? You can find a bench under a tree and watch the lake while eating an ice cream cone

Okay, I read everything and to me, some people are just never happy. Cedar Point doesn't have this unlimited amount of money that they can just spend on the park. This really isn't RCT, they don't have a trainer. They spent money on Millennium Force, now the number 1 coaster in the world yet now people have found something else to complain about. Isn't the area you are talking about the kiddie area anyway, I'm not sure.

Exactly what do you want them to do with the area. They just moved the fairest wheel there and you know Disaster Transport isn't going anywhere even though some people want it to. You have a Hotel there, a kiddie area there too. Most people flock to Millennium Force, Magnum or the other Fearsome 5. I'm sure they will do something with the area, but right now I'd rather see a new coaster that see them doing something to the area.

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.

I am a big shareholder (well maybe not that big) and I am not asking any questions.  The Oceana area may not be popular but I don't think CP is losing much money there.  I think we are all in these forums fairly familar with Cedar Point and what makes it successful.  Usually management makes the right decisions in the long run.  I'm more worried about wet summers than anything else as far as the finances go.
Losing money?  The Oceana Midway is where I usually get my afternoon/evening fill-up of French Fries.  The best part: there is almost never a line there.
I like to sit and relax at Mr Potato every time I go, im not sure if i want a coaster roaring by me every time i get hungry. Its a nice place to sit, eat, and ride the Giant Wheel.
I expect next year to be different for this area, but for now, it is one of my favorite places to sit and relax.  A good place to take your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband, etc...

Ive even seen parents napping their children over there.  Nice breeze and a great view of the lake.
