I went to the Point this weekend for my first BooBuzz, and only my second weekend ever during Halloweekends. I went both Friday night and all day Saturday, and let me say that the park does a fantastic job all around. Can't say enough about Halloweekends. We managed to go through all of the haunts and see almost every show between the two days, which was great. I'll start with short reports about each day, then in-depth about the haunted attractions.
Friday: Got to the point for early entry (which does happen on Friday nights :) ) and we knew right away the park was going to be dead that night (no pun intended). We got on all of the rides that night, including that night ride on Millennium which I couldn't wait for. However there was a rather strong wind blowing through that night, so the fog wasn't lingering at all. But we got through all the haunts as well, so Friday was just fantastic.
Saturday: Started the day with morning ERT on Maverick as a part of BooBuzz... 16 rides in just over an hour! Wow that was amazing. Then was the early entry time. I got to MF at about 11:10, and the line was out of the queue and over the train tracks. A sign of things to come... the park was pretty crowded yesterday. Nonetheless I waited it out, and after that I headed up to the front to get 2 rides in on Raptor just as the general public was allowed in. The rest of the day was spent seeing various shows and trying to find rides with shorter lines. Not a simple task. We ended up getting on most of the rides throughout the day, and a few haunts again that night. As I said, the crowds were pretty bad, but I've seen much worse on a Halloweekend Saturday.
Now for the haunted attractions...
I'll start with the shows I saw.
1) Witches of Witch Hollow. I didn't pick up from the brochure that this was a kids' show (haha) so I only stayed for about 5 minutes. But I'm sure if you have little ones they'll love it. Some singing, and casting fun spells & such. 5/10
2) The Return of Dr. Cleaver. This show is pretty humorous, and they even throw in some magic. One of the better shows I saw, in my opinion. And they throw some eye candy at you too (for the guys). 8/10
3) Chris Linn's Magicomedy. Exactly what it sounds like... some magic and some comedy. He did some pretty cool tricks while I was there. The jokes were a little on the dry side, but not bad. 7/10
4) Halloween Hullabaloo. This show is pretty long, and has several costume changes. I was pretty impressed at how quickly the singers changed their outfits. And there were some really good vocalists too. If you like music shows, this one is for you. 7/10
5) Monster Midway Invasion/Parade. We saw the monsters do their dancing exposee in the midway. Again good for the kids. Otherwise don't waste your time. However the parade was fantastic. A little short, but the floats are really neat and I love the pumpkins that drive around in circles. dance show: 5/10 parade: 9/10
Now for the haunts...
1) Happy Jack's Toy Factory. Wow. This thing is decked out with toys and games. And what can I say about the ending... hilarious. The scareactors have really good outfits in here, and they do a pretty good job executing scares. My first trip through was kind of disappointing because of the group I was with. But the 2nd trip was very good. Overall it's an incredibly well-themed haunt, but toys and games don't bother me, so I think it lacked the scare factor just a tiny bit. 9/10
2) G.A. Boeckling's Eerie Estate. Bigger Wow. This was probably my favorite thing all weekend (other than the saturday night ride on MF ;) ). This haunt is, in one word, spectacular. The themeing is exceptional in both quality and quantity. And it gives a really creepy setting for a haunt. The rooms are all wonderful and the scareactors have great places to hide. We were in the last group of the night on Friday, with only 4 people. And we got the $#@& scared out of us. 10/10.
3) Undertaker U. A pretty good indoor haunt. The themeing was pretty standard for a haunt, and the scares were okay. Gotta love the spinny tunnel thing. 6/10
4) Club Blood. A great haunt throughout, and it's rather long. I loved the body bag room. 8/10
5) Terror Island. Fantastic setting with MF flying by, and the theming/lighting is great. 9/10
6) CarnEvil. Pretty boring if you ask me. The fog is thick, but clowns walking around just doesn't do it for me. 5/10
7) Fear Faire. Very similar to CarnEvil, just different theme. 5/10.
8) CornStalkers. This was a pretty good haunt. I couldn't see the scareactors at all until they were jumping out. Pretty scary. 8/10
9) Fright Zone. I liked this setting better than CarnEvil and FearFaire, but the scares were still lacking. The "snow" lights in the winter section of Starlite Experience are now raining blood (any slayer fans? ;) ), which I liked. 6/10.
Overall a great weekend. We also had a Terror Island tour on Saturday afternoon, which was really just a great photo op time for MF. Love that coaster. I think this was my last trip to CP this year, so I'll see it in 6 months!

I was there to and it was a really nice weekend. I was in line at Millenium at 11:05 or so but the queue was just a little outside the entrance. None of the queue was opened though.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
So is Terror Island an 9/10 because the zone is good, or because it's located under Millennium Force? :)
Haha.. I think the haunt itself is still really good. Being under MF actually made it better for me.. There were a few times I was busy looking at the trains go by, and I turned around just in time to be scared by a pirate. Arrrrrrr...

They set up a stand to sell corn on the cob across from CJ's Provisions. It's $4 an ear which is too much, isn't about $2 at most county fairs. Anyway Icaved in and bought one for my son, it was actually very good.
There is also a cart selling mini donuts and cheese curds which are basiscally mini cheese sticks located at Corkscrews entrance.
The kettle corn is back as are is the apple cider and churros, etc.
The rumored cheese curds stand has arrived. Good news.
I am glad you had a good time Dvo! Great trip report!
I was wondering how much they were selling the corn on the cob for, that's not bad at all. I expected at least $5.00.
I passed the doughnut/cheese curd stand as they were setting it up. Anyone try the doughnuts yet? I am curious if they are the mini doughnuts from Doughnut Time, or another kind.
The donuts from the stand by corkscrew are really good. I don't believe they are the same as what's sold at Donut Time.
I saw the Return of Dr. Cleaver Saturday and liked it very much. It's funny, a little kooky, but good. A few of the jokes are a little bawdy, but they go over the heads of the little kids. As Dvo said earlier there is some eye candy for the guys. Overall worth watching. Cleaver is clever.
I also saw Chris Linn. His show is always funny. He reminds me of a human Spongebob.
There is another new addition to the HW food lineup. The Energy Station by Gemini is now selling chili. It comes in a bread bowl which is about 6 inches in diameter. They are charing $8 is isn't bad because the bread bowl is included. If it were just in a cup like at Wendy's it would be too much. It was quite tasty, mild, but not bland. They offer crackers with it. I wish you could get cheese too.
Has anyone noticed the new giant mantis-like screamster in Fear Faire. He's about 9 feet tall with mantis-like arms. Last weekend (Oct 2-4) is when I first saw it.
I had to register just to comment on this post. Just got back from a weekend at CP. I was only able to do 3 haunted attractions unfortunately since the girlfriend is unable to do any of them. Thankfully I knew some other people down for the same weekend so I met up with them.
We did Happy Jack's Toy Factory First, It wasn't bad. overall had a very creepy vibe to it. The toy rooms were pretty cool. The ending was... different :-p. Well themed. I guess thats all I really have to say.
We did the Eerie estate next. Maybe its the fact that we waited in line for about 90 minutes, so I expected a lot more after waiting that long. As far as Scare Factor it was lower than the Toy factory for the fact that it didn't have the creepy factor. And then I realized, once you do one of these houses, you've done them all, just people hiding behind things that try and jump out at you. Jangling cans w/ coins in them, screaming AHH, just became very unoriginal. Ended up being very disappointed I spent such a long time in line for something I found kind of boring.
Last thing I did was Carn-evil which was ridiculously disappointing. We had walked past it a few times the night before, and I thought seeing the 2 clowns and announcer outside it seemed like it might be very scary/creepy. It was not at all... Clowns walk around, and maybe its because I walked through laughing the whole time, but not a single one approached me.
I walked through the Fright Zone in frontierland at the end of the night by myself as well, and not a single scare actor approached me.
The first house was fun, but if I go back next year, I'll definately only do one, and then use my time waiting for rides rather than houses

Your problem is that you went through CarnEvil and Fright Zone instead of Terror Island. :)
Want proof? It's right here.
