A few questions

Hey everyone :) I'm thinking about applying when the time comes for the 2004 season. I would apply for the 2003 season, but I would probably still be in school over the summer a little bit, plus I don't think I'd be too ready to move up to Sandusky for the summer. Anyways, I have a few questions...

On Sundays, is there enough time to get to church? Going to church is an absolute must for me.

Are the dorms/apartments/whatever air conditioned? I know that may sound a little weird, but I live only an hour south of Sandusky and I know how these Ohio summers can get, and it can get kinda brutal at times. I could live without the internet, TV, and radio, but air conditioning in the summer is necessary, lol.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Kyle! By doing a search in the Employee Lounge for "church," I found many answers for you in a previous discussion. Click here to read it.

Air conditioning is available at all times in the Commons Dorms; in the apartments (Bayside and Commons) and in the Cedars and Gold dorms, it is necessary to rent an air-conditioning unit for your specific room. If you need air conditioning, you can have it anywhere you live. However (in Bayside Apartments at least), you have to get all your roommates to agree that they want to pay for it since it would be an extra charge on everyone's housing.

In my opinion, air conditioning at Cedar Point is not completely necessary. If you think about it, the most brutal times of day (i.e. noon), you are going to be in the park working or going somewhere on your day off. I just put a heavy blanket over the window during the day which helps to shield the sunlight from entering the room (this actually works and keeps things pretty comfortable!) At night when you're home, the air cools down and keeping windows open with a powerful box fan right in front has always worked well for me.

Good luck, and hope to see you at the Point in 2004!

Question 1) Does your church offer a sunrise service? I'm sure that if you couldn't work it out that way, your TL would be glad to schedule you later on Sundays.

Question 2) The Commons are the only housings that have air conditioning standard. But, if you stay in another dorm, you can bring your own window air conditioner. But, expect to be paying a little more to Cedar Point.

That's good to hear. I have really bad allergies, and the air conditioning seems to help out a lot with the pollen and everything. I appreciate your help :-)
