A few questions

Hey all! My name is Amanda and this will be my first summer at Cedar Point and I'm due to arrive May 19th. I'm 20 years old and from Arizona. And I had a few questions.
How does the whole roommate thing work out? Can you really pick your roommates beforehand?
How do I get discounted/free tickets for friends and family? Is there a limit on the number of tickets I can get?
Also, what exactly is Cedar Points drug and alcohol policy? Are we going to be tested for anything when processing in?

You will be tested for drugs...

*1* You get to CP and the last stop on your processing in journey is housing. You get to go there and they will tell you what they have open and if you have friends already*have them reserve a bed for you when they get there* then tell them where they live and then they will most likey put you in the same room. As for picking your roomates that is about all that you can do.

*2* After a certain amount of time* I don't remember how long* you get a certain amout of free tickets. After that they are discounted. I don't think that there is a limit of how many tickets you can get at the discounted rate.I am not sure however. Go to HR to get the free/discounted tickets. They will explain it all to you.

*3* ZERO tolerance. That is their drug and alcohol policy. You will be drug tested when you process is. I know I was last year and those things are precise. You can be tested throughout the year as well.

You will recieve 4 free tickets to the park after you have worked for four weeks. After that you can buy as many tickets you want at a discounted price, I believe they are $31.50. As MFforever04 said the drug testing is ZERO tolerance. You will be tested the day you process in, and possibly tested at random during the season. As for finding a roomate, you could try now, by talking to someone online, or just meet some new people when you get there in May. Honestly you won't be spending much time in your room while at CP. All your room is for is to hold your stuff and sleeping. If you get in a room and you don't like your roomates you can always move to a different room, you aren't stuck in the first room you choose.

I don't work at cp but I had a question if I were to work there in thr future. Are you aloud to consume alchohol when you are not working and when it will not interfir with your job.

The only department that is tested for drugs right when they process in is rides...<park op>...all other are on a random testing basis...My brother was in games and as never tested..I also had friends in foods and housekeeping that were never tested.(I mean when they processed in..some had some random testing)

CP defiently does have absolutly no tolerance for drug/alcohol abuse, however if you are of age you are able to drink...as long, as it doesn't interfere and you drink responsibly <i.e. no drinking and driving,no pblic intox>

Yea, i was gonna say, ive never been tested in the 2 yrs ive worked there. But ive also worked in guest accomadations too so im sure thats a big reason why.
