First of all, if you have checked out the Park Cam at all today, you will have noticed how INSANELY CROWDED the park was. It wasn't the *largest* crowd I have ever seen, but it sure comes close to Saturday 10/14/00. Examples: The Millennium Force line was all the way back to the temporary queues the whole day, at 4:00 Magnum had an hour wait, the DT line was consistently outside of the building, and yes even Mine Ride had a consistent 15 or 20 minute wait.
In addition, it wasn't the best day for Mine Ride. We came to take a ride on MR at about 11, and we found that there were no trains running. I also noticed a few maitenance trucks inside the structure. We came back at 12 and it was still not running. Finally they started sending out empty trains, and it was opened at about 1. By this time Frontiertown was packed, and there was actually a real line. I waited for 15 or 20 minutes. Finally after my Mine ride, Natalie told me that the problem in the morning was that MINE RIDE ROLLED BACK. I didn't talk to her long enough to find out the exact cause, but I guess it had to do with the blast of cold weather overnight and in the morning. Because of the rollback, they were only able to run two trains. This was one of the factors in the line. Anyways, Natalie pretty much explained it as a frustrating morning for the beloved Mine Ride...

Impressive the park is still open for 20 minutes and we have a trip report for the day.
------------- daniel j. haverlock '01 magnum: 386 Whats that big blue thing with the long line?
Cleo must have helped Majin write it!
If you are talking about 7/1, then it was a totally different park when I arrived at 8. Raptor was 5 minutes, the Force only 45. Magnum was walk on, as with Gemini and Mine Ride!
Maintenance Force (people in line loved that one Hooper) was only going to be 20 minutes near close, but turned into an hour and I did not get to ride! One train was stopped on the lift for 20 minutes, but they loaded the next 2 which also were stopped on the lift. At one point Red train was hallway over the lift with Blue literally "stuck" on the brake run. For some reason, one of the retractable Magnetic brakes was not retracting and Blue could not advance. I Mean, I only saw the final 3 cars of Red train on the lift so that sucker must have been dangling. I was about to get out of line and push Blue into unload! Blue train never made it all the way into Unload which surprised me because Red was sent over. Should have stayed on good ole Reliable MAGNUM!
