A Day at Old Cedar Point

From some information I saw that came from the IX Center this weekend, the Merry-Go-Round Museum (Sandusky) will be hosting a presentation by David Francis called "A Day at Old Cedar Point"

It is on Sunday, March 3, from 1-3 p.m.  Admission is $4, which is the regular admission to the museum.  I believe it will include a slide presentation.

You can find the Merry-Go-Round museum at www.merrygoroundmuseum.org, their phone number is (419) 626-1297.

I plan on attending and wanted to let everybody know about it.

I might have to make it to this event.  Sounds great with a slide presentation and all.  It will be fun remembering the park back in the day.
The segment that follows Dave in the Discovery Channel special is the best part of the Discovery Channel special!  ;)

I'm planning on being there, it sounds interesting.  I've never been there before, so could someone tell me how to get there form Rt. 2?  There's a map on their web page, but it doesn't load.  Gives me a good excuse to get to Sandusky to check out WT.

Many thanks, Tyler, for sharing the info! Since it is the day  before my birthday, it would be the perfect gift to see the CP I remember!!  (maybe we should bring a cake!!!)
Wow, maybe there should be a cake!  I guess we'll have a little GTTP get-together.

Just to let you guys know, if you already didn't know. You do need to make a reservation to attend the program from what the the museum told me.

I guess some people at the museum either don't know or are not in the know. I was told I could just attend it if I was a visitor to the museum that day. I would think it would be by reservations only but they never took any information for a reservation from me. I guess we'll just see tomorrow. If I can't attend the program it'll still be neat to see the rest of the museum. I've never been there before.

Edit: What a difference a day make (or person you talk to)... After calling yesterday, I called and asked again today. They said that you could just attend however they suggest reservations, due to limited seating.
